About the adventure
Your town has always been safe, allowing you and your fellow townsfolk to live comfortable, stable lives. Butchers, bakers, apothecaries, farmers, and musicians... You all lived in safety and harmony. Then deadly monsters emerged from the nearby Plover Caves, and shattered your illusion of safety! Wielding your cleavers, enchanted whisks, herbal supplies, and rakes you scrambled to defend the town, and discovered something exciting: these monsters are delicious! You don't have much in the way of combat experience, but you know how to slice, dice, and filet a fine meal. So who better than you to investigate this mysterious change that threatens your home? Perhaps the legends of a mage's lure deep underground are true? Could something have happened to cause this lure to fail? Do you have the stomach to brave the depths of the deadly Plover Caves, scavenging and hunting as you go? Will you fold under the pressure or emerge as seasoned adventurers? Can you beat the odds, or will you be left with egg on your face? OK, all puns aside this can be as serious or as silly as people want it to be. We can have a survival-based campaign, or a wacky cooking adventure. Perhaps even both?

About me
I jumped into game-mastering in 2019 with a group of friends, a Dragonheist book, and a lot of uncertainty. Almost immediately my players caught be by surprise by doing something unexpected, and introduced me to the fun and excitement of improvised, group storytelling. Since then I've played an average of once a week, exploring a variety of games, and almost always being a game master. In 2025 I hosted my first convention games with total strangers, which was a wonderful mix of nerves and excitement. The more TTRPGs that I play the more that I enjoy the improvisational nature of them, and I'm always excited to see where the story goes next. I started with D&D (as most people do), and since then I've explored Motherboard, Pathfinder 2e, the Silver Road, Forged in the Dark, and Daggerheart. I'm a fan of player-guided stories, with a strong leaning towards The Rule of Cool and narrative-first games.

Creating your character
Character creation for Daggerheart works best as a group endeavour, so please come to the free session zero with a few character concepts prepared. You'll be starting out as level 1 Daggerheart characters, with all mixed ancestries and playtest content available. If you want to try out 3rd party content, just send me a message and I'll almost definitely allow it. Characters can be made with Demiplane, or with Heart of Daggers, or with any other Daggerheart character creator that you like.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
First, can you please join my Discord server where we can all chat together and I can share any links and resources. Joining my Demiplane sharing group takes a few steps, so that's probably the next step to take. Then you can start exploring all the character options available to you. Finally, please join the roll20 link, where the whole adventure is ready and waiting for you.
What Harry brings to the table
• Access to my Demiplane group, sharing all official Daggerheart content • A roll20 page with maps, tokens, and ambient music to enhance your experience • A Discord server containing our list of Lines and Veils, as well as session summaries to keep you up to date • A free-form GM style, embracing the Rule of Cool and character creativity. I love incorporating your wacky ideas into the game!

How Harry creates a safe table
The free session 0 will not only cover character creation, but also a discussion of Lines and Veils which will be recorded in the Discord server. This document can be added to if anything occurs in the game that we didn't anticipate, it is an ever-evolving document. X, N, and O cards can be sent via message directly to me, or typed publicly in the roll20 chat. Whatever the individual feels is most comfortable for them. While nobody needs to stick around at the end of a session for a debrief, I'm happy to discuss any topics that came up in the session and how we can deal with them better as a group. I always hope to be a better GM, so I welcome any constructive criticism that anyone wishes to bring forward. I also employ an open door policy, allowing players to come and go as they please, and for whatever reason. Also characters can be changed at any point if anyone feels that they aren't enjoying anything about their character.
