About the adventure
Ember is a new setting and adventure designed by the folks behind foundry vtt! It takes place on a massive open world map both on the surface and within a expansive underground region called the pathways. The campaign will take you across the massive region known as the Arctus plateau. With many interesting npcs to meet and places to discover where will your journey take you? Character Creation will be done through the in vtt character creator that ember provides in session 0.

Preparing for the session
If you haven't already I recommend watching the ember trailer to get a bit of an idea for the feel of the setting found right here: https://youtu.be/MErInn8A8Yw?si=8eJ5lrBM3ShtVkb_ Otherwise though, if you don't have a discord account you will need to make one to join the server for the campaign which is where we will do voice chat during sessions.
What master_builder75 (avery) brings to the table
Ember includes a dynamic audio system for music and ambiance, in addition there is a built in token builder for character artwork and everything you will need for your character will be integrated within the vtt. The general gameplay will involve a lot of exploration and mystery, a large cast of npc characters and storylines to follow, as well as a descent chunk of tactical combat. There are even some really neat puzzles in the module.
Homebrew rules
Ember has a few homebrew Additions it makes to the base 5e system to better suit the campaign Such as the attunement system where each character has a spiritual connection to one of the settings moons granting them certain buffs when that moon is in the sky (these connections can even grow as the campaign progresses based on character choices).

How master_builder75 (avery) creates a safe table
We will go over character creation in session 0 and I will be there to answer any questions be them mechanical or setting related, In addition we will have a lines and veils document to help set out from the beginning what we do not want to see show up in the campaign to ensure everyone feels comfortable at the table. Otherwise we will also utilize the X, N, & O card system through messages, so that if the game accidentally crosses into content that makes anyone uncomfortable we can quickly pivot to resolve the issue.
