About the adventure
Hello citizen! Do you know how to play Paranoia, the classic tabletop RPG about freshly recruited Troubleshooters who fight to protect Alpha Complex from treason? No? That's good. If you already knew the rules at your clearance level, that would be treason. Since you are not a traitor, Friend Computer has decided you are ready to learn how to play Paranoia. You - along with some other civilians you have never met before - have been selected to serve as Friend Computer's Troubleshooters. There's lots of trouble in Alpha Complex caused by mutant commie traitors, and Friend Computer needs people like you to go out and shoot it. Don't worry - Friend Computer chose you all for this job, which means you cannot fail. You're not a mutant commie traitor. You don't have mutant superpowers or belong to a secret society. Those things would be treason, and traitors are trouble that must be shot. (Pst! You're secretly a mutant traitor who belongs to a secret society. Don't let anyone find out!) You will have fun learning to play Paranoia. Not having fun would be treason. Happiness Is Mandatory.

About me
Greetings everybody! I am a storyteller at heart who loves all forms of fiction. I run games ranging from pulpy sci-fi to gritty fantasy and everything in between. I especially love weird or non-standard settings. Superheroes in a cyberpunk city? Time-traveling fantasy adventure? Teenagers on a supernatural road trip? I'm all here for it. I believe that tabletop RPGs are a unique storytelling experience where everyone at the table becomes both author and audience to the shared story. Facilitating this shared storytelling experience is my primary goal as a GM. My games do not make use of generative AI for writing, music, or images. Storytelling is a fundamentally human experience, and synthesized plagiarism has no place in my games. I look forward to sharing stories with you! Profile picture created by Neo! Safety
How Nathan Patrick Lane creates a safe table
Before the game, I'll be private messaging all the players one-on-one to discuss Lines, Veils, and Wishes. At the start of the game, we will make introductions, review Lines & Veils, and create characters. Bigotry will not be tolerated in this group. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other prejudiced behaviors will warrant an immediate kick.
