About the adventure
The shield has cracked, and the home front is exposed. While Willow Ufgood and his companions journey toward the crossroads, the defense of Ufgood Reach has fallen into desperate straits. Vohnkar, the premier Nelwyn warrior, turned his elite squad back to secure the valley—but they have vanished into the dangerous northern territories. A blood-stained distress message reveals that a Nockmaar vanguard has bypassed the ancient boundary illusions, establishing a foothold near the River Freen. With the village forces stretched to their absolute limit, a ragtag assembly of stranded Daikini mercenaries, rogue brownies, and elite Nelwyn scouts must step past the sacred boundaries, plunge into a treacherous wilderness hex crawl, and eliminate the Nockmaar intrusion before the valley is entirely overrun. This adventure is crafted for players who love classic, high-stakes fantasy storytelling with a gritty, survivalist edge. If you enjoy the rich lore of the Willow universe, strategic wilderness exploration, and the tension of holding the line against a ruthless empire, you will find yourself right at home. It is designed for 4 to 6 players running levels 3–5 characters, welcoming both old-school veterans who grew up on the original 1988 film and modern roleplayers eager to experience a classic, dangerous fantasy setting where every choice carries a heavy cost. As your Game Master, my playstyle balances evocative, cinematic narrative with the uncompromising, strategic ruleset of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. Expect a dangerous, meticulously mapped wilderness hex crawl where positioning, tracking rolls, and clever resource management matter just as much as your sword arm. We will navigate the fog-laden marshes of the Whispering Fens and launch a desperate siege against a cursed Nockmaar relic in a ruined watchtower. Bring your tactical wit, your courage, and your willingness to face the unknown—the fate of Ufgood Reach rests squarely in your hands.

About me
With over 30 years of experience in tabletop roleplaying games, I bring a deep love of classic systems and immersive storytelling to every table I run. My roots are firmly planted in old-school gaming—especially AD&D—but I also actively run and enjoy modern systems, including D&D 5e (2024). I have a strong preference for rich, lore-driven settings. When using established fantasy systems, I most often run games in Dragonlance or within my own original DireLands campaign world, both of which emphasize character-driven narratives, meaningful choices, and long-term consequences. In addition to fantasy, I specialize in darker, more atmospheric campaigns. I run a fully homebrewed cosmic horror setting using the In Nomine system, inspired by World of Darkness themes and infused with elements of Clive Barker and classic monsters. These games focus on moral tension, surreal horror, and unsettling mysteries. Whether guiding epic heroes or exploring the shadows of the unknown, my goal as a Game Master is to create memorable stories, collaborative worlds, and engaging experiences for every player at the table.

Creating your character
We will create characters in a session zero that will be free and scheduled based on schedule availability. We will be referencing the Willow Sourcebook, the novelization of Willow, and the Chronicles of the Shadow War trilogy. The game will use Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game mechanics.
We will need a wide array of players so consider the four main class types. Fighter, Priest, Magic User and Thief. We are referencing the AD&D Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, Unearthed Arcana, and Willow novels and sourcebook for character generation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Watch the film Willow. This is meant to be a nostalgic romp set during the events of the film. We will use my Discord for audio and video, as this is a live-streamed actual play. And we will use Roll20 for the virtual tabletop.
What AdamPC brings to the table
As your GM, I create an immersive, beginner-friendly experience designed to make your AD&D session fun and easy to follow. I guide you through the rules as we play, so you can focus on story, exploration, and teamwork. I use ambient music, sound effects, and descriptive narration to bring the world of Willow to life, and I encourage creativity and clever solutions—embracing the Rule of Cool whenever it makes the game more exciting. Combat is clear and structured, but never overwhelming, and I ensure every player has a chance to shine. Whether you’re rolling dice for the first time or stepping back into classic AD&D, you can expect a friendly, engaging, and story-driven adventure.

How AdamPC creates a safe table
All of my games are designed to be welcoming and inclusive for players of all ages and experience levels. I use the X, N, & O check-in system to ensure everyone feels comfortable with the content, and we take regular breaks for sessions longer than two hours. After each session, we follow up with a Stars and Wishes feedback check-in to hear what worked well and what could be improved. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where players can focus on story, exploration, and collaboration without worry.
