About the adventure
Northwind Gate is a scholar's refuge on the edge of a bitter northern wilderness, but its warm inns and famous libraries hide a dangerous secret. The dwarven scholar Bjorn Amberclan has found clues to legendary orbstones, ancient relics powerful enough to open permanent portals between worlds. You will begin with The Frozen Labyrinth, then follow the trail through dragon cultists, hidden relics, ruined strongholds, winter monsters, and the schemes of an exiled ice dragon who wants to summon his kin back into the world. This is a Nimble adaptation of a 5e adventure trilogy: fast turns, dangerous monsters, exploding crits, flexible rulings, and a focus on player creativity over rules lookups. Expect heroic fantasy with cold-weather exploration, tactical set-piece fights, secrets, traps, and chances to solve problems with stealth, negotiation, clever plans, or direct action. This game is a good fit for players who like classic fantasy adventure, mysterious relics, dangerous ruins, dragon cults, and rules-light tactical play. No Nimble experience is required.

About me
Hey there, adventurers! I'm Trevor. I have enjoyed exploring the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons, both as a player and a game master. Tabletop RPGs have brought me so much joy – from the limitless creativity to the unforgettable stories and the amazing friendships built through our epic quests. Along the way, I've also explored other tabletop RPGs like Nimble, Blades in the Dark, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, The Avatar Legends RPG, and My Little Pony: Tales of Equestria. Knowing these different systems and stories and the various game mechanics has opened my eyes to what makes a TTRPG truly fun and has helped me level-up my storytelling skills. When you join my table, you can expect a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone, regardless of their experience level, can feel at ease exploring their characters and the rich world of our campaign. So, gather your gear, bring your sense of adventure, and let's dive into the amazing worlds of Dungeons and Dragons and beyond. It's time to create your legendary tale!

Creating your character
Characters will start at Nimble level 7 using Nimble classes, ancestries, backgrounds, and equipment rules. We will not use D&D 5e character sheets for this game. You can make your hero before Session 0, or we can build together during Session 0. Use one of Nimble's stat arrays, choose a class that sounds fun, and bring a reason your hero would help Bjorn Amberclan, care about ancient magic, protect Northwind Gate, hunt dragons, or investigate dangerous cult activity. Starting wealth follows Nimble's higher-level guidance: class/background equipment or starting gold multiplied by level, subject to GM review. Bring a character who is ready for secretive work, harsh weather, ruins, cult activity, and the possibility that the best plan is not always a frontal assault.
This is a new table forming for a level 7 Nimble campaign. No party roles are locked in yet, so choose the hero concept you are excited to play. The group will be 3-5 players. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, dangerous fantasy combat, and creative problem-solving as the party helps Bjorn Amberclan investigate the orbstones and the threat of the ice dragons. New Nimble players are welcome. Character creation guidance and rules references will be available in Discord.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the first session, please: - Have a working microphone. - Have a stable internet connection. - Join the Discord server using the invite I provide. - Access the Foundry VTT game link I provide. - Bring a Nimble character concept, even if it is only a rough idea. - Think about why your character is connected to Bjorn Amberclan, Northwind Gate, dragon lore, ancient magic, or the northern wilderness. - Send any Lines, Veils, or safety concerns before Session 0 if you prefer to handle them privately. No D&D books are required. The Discord channel will contain the important information and references needed for creating a Nimble character, and I will help with any rules questions before play.
What Trevor brings to the table
I will provide the adventure conversion, Nimble rules support, maps, handouts, NPCs, monster adjustments, and a clear Session 0. My style emphasizes quick pacing, meaningful choices, dangerous but fair combat, and rulings that keep the table moving. Expect a mix of exploration, tactical combat, social problem-solving, and player-driven plans. Nimble makes turns fast and decisive, so combat should feel dangerous without getting bogged down in long rules lookups. I will also handle the 5e-to-Nimble conversion work for skills, saves, monsters, armor, and conditions.
Homebrew rules
This is a 5e adventure run in Nimble. I will convert the adventure using Nimble's conversion guidance: - 5e skills will be mapped to Nimble skills. - 5e saves will be mapped to Nimble saves. - 5e monster AC will be converted to Nimble armor. - 5e monster damage will be rolled using Nimble attack expectations. - Conditions that remove player agency may be adjusted to keep play moving. - Leveling will be milestone-based at major adventure breaks. Expect clear consequences, fast pacing, and room for player creativity. If a clever plan makes sense, I’ll work with you to figure out how it plays out.

How Trevor creates a safe table
We will have a Session 0 to set expectations, review Lines and Veils, confirm tone, and make sure everyone knows how to pause or redirect scenes. X, N, and O tools are available during play, breaks are welcome, and we will debrief after intense sessions. The campaign includes fantasy danger, cult activity, undead, monsters, and threats of conquest, but the goal is adventurous tension, not misery. Player boundaries matter, and anyone can step away or ask to fade, pause, or redirect a scene.
