About the adventure

Not long after Kuvira's attack on Republic City, many things have changed. A portal to the Spirit World has opened in Republic City, and technology continues to evolve the world into new exciting directions. People are able to do things that before, was never thought possible. But not all are happy with these changes. Equalists, those against bending, may not have the same strength they had during Amon's time, but they are still out there, believing with the growing technological changes that bending has become obsolete. Not only that, but while Zaheer's Red Lotus is but a shadow of its former self, the group's beliefs still draw attention, and followers. All these and more trouble the young city, and people need to stand up to protect it if it is to continue to prosper. Whether you are born in Republic City, or from another nation that came to the city for your own reasons, you have found yourself here. It is a place of wonder, fun, and also excitement, all awaiting you.

About me

I have loved DND since I first started playing some years ago. I've been a player for a long time, and have DM'ed off and on. I love all the stories we can tell with DND, and the cooperative story telling DND offers is amazing to me. In spare time I cuddle with my adorable kitty, and play Baldur's Gate. My day job is the gloriously dull work of retail.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will need to choose whether to be a bender of an element or not, a reason to be in Republic City, a backstory fitting for the era of Avatar Korra as well. All characters will start as beginner adventurers, and I ask all characters to have things they want, need, and fear to help them grow. Characters will need to be finalized by session 1, but we will go over much of the rules and such in session 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need an account on roll20 and discord, and a working mic and good internet connection.

What Dylan brings to the table

I always endeavor to give my players as much freedom as possible. The best games are when the players can affect the wider world and story in ways that others don't. I strive to make each game stand out and different for my players. If a player wants to try something new or different, or not quite in the rules my go to is "You know what? Let's give it a shot this time". I also try to always find fitting music to play during session, get various new maps, and all my story ideas are made with human ingenuity only, NEVER using AI for any of it.

Safety

How Dylan creates a safe table

I always do what I can to make sure my players are comfortable. During session zero we will go over any and all possible triggering things that might lead to a player being uncomfortable in any way, and that list can be updated at any time to help make sure everyone feels safe. Session zero will also include a discussion on lines and veils, along with time for breaks during intense moments if folk wish for it. Player safety is paramount to me. If you ever have a difficult moment that bothers you, always feel free to tell me.
