About me

Hi! A Film and Media teacher by day, and Film and Media student by evening, and a weaver of a tales by night - how do I do it all? Overcommitment and stress - or perhaps, a little bit of magic? 😉✨ I’ve been a DM, hosting one-shots and a couple of long-form games, for a good number of years. I've helped out with Manchester's Rainbow Dragons LGBT TTRPG (*huff* how many more letters ARE there??) group, as well as a good few personal games. I’m here to tell stories and have fun, for new and experienced players, with silly magic fellas. Come on down, let’s get rollin’!

Character creation

Creating your character

Please bring your characters before the session starts at Level 3. To keep consistency, please roll stats with Standard Array. I'm happy for your characters to start with either two common or one uncommon magic item. Though there will be chances in the to go on a little shopping spree to get any more standard items. Only races and classes published in official DnD books - no homebrew please!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be meeting on Google Meet, and we will be using Roll20 for maps. Please make sure you have accounts beforehand!

What Jay brings to the table

We're here to have fun and get lost in the chaos - that's what The Peckish Pegasus is all about! I'll try to keep it loose and fun without stickling to the rules. If you do something cool, I'm not going to hit you with the 'um, actually' (unless you're planning on breaking the laws of physics!) Here, you'll get a story to unthread, NPCs to interact with, and strong decisions to be made that will affect the outcome of the game.

Homebrew rules

- Drinking potions is a bonus action! - 1's are automatic failures, and 20's are automatic successes, regardless of modifiers - No material components needed for spells unless they're of monetary value

Safety

How Jay creates a safe table

Though this is intended to be a very light one-shot, I'll send across a Lines and Veils document before the session digitally be to filled out. I have an Open Door policy, meaning if you want to duck out of the session for a couple of minutes for your own wellbeing, you're more than welcome to do so without judgement. My X, N, & O cards will also work digitally, meaning you can privately message me on StartPlaying to raise any content you want skipped or glazed over without fear of judgement.
