About me

Hello friends! I’ve been a Game Master for smaller games of 4-6 players for about 7 years. My favorite aspect of being a GM is world-building and character creation. Thus, I love homebrew content and homebrew worlds. The stories I tell are not just mine, they are told by the players as well. If you would love an action-packed fantasy adventure, with intricate roleplay opportunities, and a story that connects to your character’s backstory, I’m the Game Master for you!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will occur during our session zero, where I will give a brief rundown of the game mechanics and explain how to create characters as we go. However, if a player is interested in joining after the game has already started running, feel free to message me on here with an inquiry! I am always happy to include another player and make time to help them learn the game before the next session.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using Discord via a server to talk on voice chat, and discuss things off session in chatrooms. We will also be using Roll20 for character sheets and our Virtual Table Top to visualize various scenes and areas in the world.

What Caralight brings to the table

I will bring a fully fleshed out campus, with various NPCs like professors, fellow students, and staff members all around the college. I will also be creating detailed world maps and battle maps for various combat scenes and exploration scenes where players can interact with items in their environment that they may not have known was there.

Safety

How Caralight creates a safe table

During session zero we will have a discussion which will list out topics that are lines and veils for the game, and there will be a moment for players to list any triggers or topics they wish to avoid as well, whether they do so anonymously or not. I am also always open to listening to feedback and I take triggers very seriously. If a player realizes a topic is triggering mid-game, they can always tell me they are uncomfortable or need a break, and then we can address the issue after the break.
