About the adventure

Archen is a cold place. The days are short and the sun’s grace barely reaches far enough down to warm the ground. Snow and ice cover nearly every surface, kept off roads and walkways by the hanging heat lamps that keep the city bearable. Still, it’s a beautiful city. All fine stonework and pretty painted glass. While there are poor here, everyone lives in relative comfort. People are paid well, there’s plenty of resources to go around. Shops are heavily stocked and schools are funded by the royal family who live at the center of this wealthy paradise. But for all its glory, Archen does have two downsides. The bitter, hateful cold. And the fact that most of its residents cannot leave. Ever. Only heavily licensed tradesfolk are allowed past the city’s triple gates, which are guarded by knights and warded by mages. The city itself is contained by a massive arcane barrier which prevents any unlicensed travel, magical or mundane. You are born in Archen. You live in Archen. You die in Archen. ❣️ Start level 5 ❣️ Array will be 18, 16, 14, 14, 12, 10 ❣️ You'll start with one uncommon magic item ❣️ Plus many QoL adjustments and Homebrew Rules!

About me

Hello, my name is Pixels and I'm thrilled to provide a wonderful gaming experience for you. I've been gm-ing for nearly a decade, and am versed in a number of systems including Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, Pathfinder 1st and 2nd editions, Starfinder 1st edition, Open Legend, Call of Cthulhu, Monster of the Week and Shadowrun. I tend to be a Rule of Cool gm, using Rules as Written as a base to allow for player creativity and problem solving. Not everything is allowed, but there's often a way to bend a rule to make for an amazing outcome. I look forward to telling a story with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

You'll create characters during session 0 or before. You're deciding your stats via a set array within my table rules. Characters should be created on roll20, with any wotc printed book. You must ask about partnered content, 3rd party, and homebrew.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a discord account and a roll20 account.

What 8bitpixelheart brings to the table

I do character voices and use utilize ambient music. My combat borders on the intense, and characters and NPC may die. That being said, I do rule of cool, so feel free to ask about what you can do!
