About the adventure
🛡️Defy fate and redefine heroism! 👊Clash or befriend intriguing rivals! 🗺️Explore the beloved realm of Exandria! The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this mighty champion of the gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. His name has been forgotten, as have his heroic deeds. Languishing in despair, he calls out for new heroes to save him. Inspired by the campaigns of the hit series Critical Role, this Dungeons & Dragons adventure begins in the Wastes of Xhorhas and leads to the glimmering oasis-city of Ank’Harel on the continent of Marquet, and from there into a sunken realm of gloom, corruption, and sorrow known as the Netherdeep. Above it all, the red moon of Ruidus watches, twisting the fates of those who have the power to shape the course of history.

About me
Greetings and Salutations my fellow storyweavers! I am Lee, once a proud member of the Covenant Canon team as Drakle Studios, now a Professional Dungeon Master. I had an aberrant start to this hobby, growing up in the era of Dungeons & Dragons 4e being captivated by the art and monsters that slowly grew into a love of all tabletops even if I didn't necessarily play all systems. I prefer to run Dungeons & Dragons from 3.5e to 5e with a preference to the latter system I quickly fell into the role of DM after my first campaign and since 2021 I have been professionally DMing for my local advocacy centre, helping neurodivergeant adults find themselves friends and trying to confront their challenges through the lens of storytelling. My goal with every game I run is to help my players tell the stories they want to, confronting malignant villains I have woven from the campaign's themes, and watching all that crumble as we begin cackling at the absurd stories the dice decide to tell. Player agency and providing a safe space for my players to tell the story they want for their characters are of the utmost importance to me! I want my players to experience gut busting laughter, heartbreaking drama, unsuspected shock, terrifying suspense, and any other cathartic emotional release that they seek. My games are PC-centric, unique, and tailormade to bring the PCs into the larger narrative.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
For this game you will need: • A relatively modern computer capable of running web-based programs (8-16MB Ram and Chrome or Firefox - no Safari) • Decent internet access • Good Audio input (a headset/good microphone - note speakers echo and on board mic's are hard to hear) • Discord (free download or browser-based) • Forge account (free to create, needed for Foundry which is also free to you and web based)
What Lee, Pungeon Master brings to the table
With Foundry VTT at my side, the game will include dynamic lighting, 3D dice, integrated character sheets, and more! As for myself, I will provide entertaining villains to be sundered, rich character voices, tactical combat, and a willingness to indulge in your hare-brained schemes and stories!
Homebrew rules
• 1: System Shock/Lingering Injuries: Whenever a creature takes an amount of damage equal to or greater than half their health they must make a DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw. If they fail, they suffer System Shock. If the creature was brought to 0 HP as a result of this damage and they failed the saving throw, then they instead suffer a Lingering Injury • 2: Heroic Inspiration: Each character starts a session with DM Inspiration, which can be used to re-roll any dice or give oneself Advantage on a d20 roll or used in bargaining for cool moments. A player character can regain Heroic Inspiration for awesome character moments, rolling a Natural 1 or being hit with a Natural 20. • 3: Legendary Crits: In addition to the usual benefits of a Critical Hit, you also get your choice of an additional effect: Add a flat 10 to the total damage or Restore a party member's Heroic Inspiration. • 4: Matt Mercer's Resurrection Rules: Fading Spirits: Resurrection magic involves roleplay-directed rituals in order to successfully revive a lost companion • 5: Rapid Quaffing: The classic "Drinking a potion as a bonus action" rule. Additionally, you may choose to drink a Healing Potion as an action and heal the maximum amount the potion offers instead. • 6: Intelligence Points If you have a positive Intelligence Modifier, you gain points equal to that modifier which can be spent on gaining extra proficiencies. You can use 3 of these points to give yourself Expertise in a skill you are already proficient with. • 7: Mighty Form: Jumping and Shoving are enhanced based on your Strength Score. • 8: Hastened Attunement: To attune to a magic item only takes an action as long as you have a free Attunement slot. However, to unattune from a magic item you must spend 1 minute doing so. • 9: Flanking: 2 Creatures that are on exact opposite sides of a creature. While Flanking a target, those attacking creatures gain a +2 Bonus to Attack Rolls. Creatures with Blindsight, Multiple Heads and/or a Passive Perception of 19 or Higher are Immune to being Flanked.

Safety
How Lee, Pungeon Master creates a safe table
First and foremost this is a positive place that welcomes all and is a LGBTQ+ space. â›”Zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. This includes breaking safety and consent lines. With Session Zero we will cover the setting and themes of the campaign, discuss Lines and Veils, talk about expectations, house rules, go over the Foundry VTT, and make characters. We play games that emphasize emergent play - the kind of stuff that comes up when everyone "plays to find out" what happens next. If you come to the table in good faith and ready to roleplay at your comfort level, you are going to have a good time. During games, we will have a 30 Minute break roughly halfway through the session. This campaign also utilizes Aftercare, Lines and Veils, Open Door, and Stars and Wishes. I don't facilitate ERP or any PvP actions that go beyond random goofiness.
