About the adventure

Welcome to Spire, a vertiginous city of dark elven aristocracy, merciless ministries, and billions of drow crushed under millennia of tyranny. You are not heroes. You are revolutionaries, outcasts, and broken believers. You work for the Ministry of Our Hidden Mistress, a secret cell dedicated to one thing: bringing down the high elf ruling classes. You'll use lies, knives, rituals, and sacrifice. And you will almost certainly not survive unscathed. PREMISE Your magister is dead, throat cut by a serial killer who left a cryptic message pinned to her chest. Now you're the only thing standing between a dying demonologist named Juasha and her plan to become a god. She's flooding the streets with a new drug called dreck, paying for illegal laboratories where gnoll prisoners build demon-machines, and silencing anyone who gets too close. You don't have backup. You don't have a clean record. You have a city that hates you, a few desperate allies, and a choice: burn her operation to the ground, or watch Spire fall into demonic hands. Your job: investigate, sabotage, and burn it all down. Ally with crime lords, guard captains, blood-witches, or death priests. Leverage Juasha's own family against her. But be careful – in Spire, every victory leaves scars, and failure is permanent. WHO THIS GAME IS FOR This game is for players who love dark fantasy, moral ambiguity, and high-stakes roleplay. You'll make hard choices, face consequences that change your character forever, and learn to love a city that hates you. Active roleplay and engagement are required for this campaign. Spire is a character-led game where the story moves forward based on your choices and initiative. If you are looking for a passive experience where the plot happens to you, this might not be the right table. I am looking for players who are ready to investigate leads, interact with the community, and work together to push the narrative into dangerous territory. THE VIBE CHECK Because Spire is a focused, narrative-heavy campaign, I want to make sure we're a good fit. Anyone interested in joining will receive a super short vibe check survey about playstyle and expectations. No pressure, just a few quick questions to help us start on the same page.

About me

Hey I'm Maia (my-ee-uh), a storyteller, actual play producer, and longtime lover of narrative-driven games. I found TTRPGS a few years ago and immediately fell in love with how collaborative, emotional, and unpredictable they can be. I've been GMing ever since-building immersive worlds, guiding personal arcs, and chasing those unforgettable table moments that happen when a group really clicks. In addition to private campaigns, I also create and publish actual plays, both live streamed and edited, on Twitch, YouTube, and podcast platforms. Producing those shows has sharpened my sense of pacing, tone, and scene work, and I bring that same care to every table I run, whether we're recording or just playing for fun privately.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will handle character creation together during our Session 0. While the campaign provides five specialized pre-generated characters with unique story hooks, we can also build your own characters from scratch. We will focus on building the connections between your cell members so you feel like a cohesive team from the start.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a Discord account. If you do not already have one, please create it before Session Zero. No other accounts or downloads are required.

What Maia (my-ee-uh) brings to the table

I provide a highly narrative, character-driven game with a strong focus on roleplay, exploration, and atmosphere. You can expect rich descriptions, immersive ambient music, and memorable NPCs with distinct personalities and voices. I prioritize story flow and player agency over strict adherence to rules, using the Rule of Cool when it enhances the moment. Combat will be tense and meaningful rather than constant, with encounters designed to support the story rather than interrupt it. My goal is to make the world feel alive, reactive, and full of opportunities for players to shape the narrative.

Safety

How Maia (my-ee-uh) creates a safe table

We will have a clear safety framework in place from the start. During Session 0, we will review Lines and Veils together to establish boundaries and topics that should be avoided or handled with care. I will provide a shared document so players can add to or adjust these privately at any time. After sessions with intense or emotional moments, I will check in with players to make sure everyone leaves the table feeling safe and supported. At the end of each session, we will do Stars and Wishes to highlight what people enjoyed and what they want more of going forward.
