About the adventure
The city is alive, and it listens. In Waterdeep, every deal whispers through the alleys, every smile hides a dagger, and every coin tossed into a fountain echoes with old secrets. This is a city of lords and lowlifes, masked rulers and hidden vaults, where ambition is the real currency—and it’s always in short supply. The greatest treasure in the city’s history is up for grabs. But four villains, not merely one, have their eyes on it, and the streets will run slick with schemes before the gold ever sees the light. To survive here is to play the game. To win is to change Waterdeep forever. If you're looking for... 💰 Schemes, Secrets, and Shadowy Power Plays Delve into an intrigue-heavy campaign filled with double-dealing, faction rivalries, and city politics where every choice matters and nothing is as it seems. 🎭 Colorful NPCs and Living Roleplay Meet a cast of unforgettable characters—from pathetic nobles to criminal masterminds—brought to life in a setting that rewards clever dialogue and sharp insight. 🏙️ A Rich and Dynamic Urban Sandbox Explore the great city of Waterdeep with complete freedom, where districts shift in mood and opportunity, and every tavern, guildhall, or back alley might hold your fortune—or your doom. Then Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is your next great adventure. 👤 Regarding AI Art, I can tell you my stance on it is simple, if something improves the game and player experience, I approve of it. Like all tools, AI can be used poorly, respectfully I believe that my handling of it for appearances improves the game that I host. Many of the arts for NPCs are based off sketches I do. There is no slop. Whatsoever. Only the highest quality results that stay consistent in the style are admitted into the game world.

Creating your character
📘 2024 Ruleset We’ll be using the updated 2024 D&D rules for a fresh and balanced experience. If a subclass, spell, or race doesn’t have a 2024 version yet, feel free to use the 2014 one instead. 🎲 Stat Generation You’ll roll two stat arrays using the !randchar command twice on our Discord server, you can reroll arrays of 70 or lower. If luck isn’t on your side, 31 Point Buy is available as a safety net ⚖️ My Opinion on Powergaming Powergaming in moderation is totally fine—there’s fun in making a strong build! Just remember: the goal is to create a well-rounded, engaging character, not just a numbers-driven damage dealer. You'll shine more when you're part of the story, not just dominating the battlefield.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will be required to have microphones, Roll20 accounts, and Discord to participate. Discord can be downloaded for a smoother experience compared to the browser version. Character concepts are great for preparation. We will work together to get the details translated into a D&D character prior to session. Here is the invite link to the discord, if any don't work just message me on this site and I'll get you in. https://discord.gg/WdBRTvMxxJ

Expect a rules-as-written foundation with flexibility for cinematic moments and creative problem-solving. Combat is fast-paced, strategic, and meaningful—your choices matter, and your spotlight time is respected. Whether you're a veteran player or brand new to the game, I’m here to guide, entertain, and collaborate with you every step of the way.
Homebrew rules
🗡️ The Mortal Choice System Death isn't the end—at least not right away. When a character is about to die, they’re granted a selection of final choices to choose from, offering a heroic sendoff or dramatic twist that honors their journey. 🎵 Bard Buffs Bards get a little extra love. They retain Song of Rest from 2014 and Jack of All Trades applies to Initiative.
