About the adventure
The Pathfinder Beginners box runs through “Menace Under Otari”, a simple and very linear adventure centered around teaching players the base mechanics of Pathfinder 2E, introducing mechanics slowly over the course of the dungeons' two levels. You will additionally learn how to use Foundry VTT, a popular virtual tabletop allowing players to experience a more immersive visual game, including full character sheets, player tokens and dynamic lighting/sounds. Most GM’s will use various modules to make their own games each unique. Modules you will encounter in this game: - PF2E HUD - PF2E Ranged Combat - PF2E Workbench - Dice So Nice - Token Lean - Lock View - Splatter

About me
I am a fairly new GM who is a slow learner and can struggle to interact with new people and yet the people at my table always seem to be having fun together and as a GM, that's all I can ask for. This provides me with the push I need to be constantly improving, stepping outside of my comfort zones and working towards giving players games they can remember. I do not permit AI in any form in my games.

Creating your character
For the sake of easing you into the game this adventure will be using the pre-generated characters, however we will take the time to walk through changing the characters names and appearance if you don't want to play the character presented with the class.

What Ada brings to the table
As a GM I firmly believe in the rule of cool, to the point that it doesn't take away from or invalidate the game/other players and characters. I love trying to do voices and music as well as setting scenes and atmosphere, though I am still very much only just beginning in most regards! If you're willing to embrace a bit of cringe this table might be for you. I am still learning to improve as a GM, as a result I both welcome and encourage rule clarifications as long as they don't get in the way of the game.
Homebrew rules
For the sake of learning this game will be run as close to RAW (Rules as Written) as I can get. Please note that due to the nature of Pathfinder and its breadth of rules I may ad-hoc or skip certain rules to keep the game moving as needed, however in most cases I am happy to pause the game and learn the rule together.

How Ada creates a safe table
I encourage bringing up any boundaries you might have during session zero or in DM's with me if you are not comfortable speaking about them in a group setting. I also enforce a strict stance on the place of session zero as an early tool, but not the only tool, as such my DM's are always open if anything changes and new boundaries arise or old ones are removed. While I do not have any physical mediums, I highly encourage players to DM me (even a simple X) if a scene is making them uncomfortable. Any scene can be skipped or summarized after all! Please note as soon as you are confirmed to be in the game I will send a content sheet (Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist) to be filled out. I will never treat these sheets as absolute and you are free to update them at any time if you find new things you would wish to add or remove. In such an event, I will send the sheet back to you to be updated as needed. As with the above, session zeros are also never treated as absolute, if something was not covered in session zero for any reason you cannot use the fact it was not raised during session zero as an excuse to continue it if someone is uncomfortable. This applies to all other instances of conflict, if a player realizes that romance makes them uncomfortable regardless of session zero our expectations must be updated to meet their changing needs.
