About the adventure
This game is going to be a Dark Fantasy game where relationships will matter & secrets will come out. We'll loosely follow the Curse of Strahd campaign, but the Dark Powers, the evil entities who've created this realm, will pull you into other Domains of Darkness from time to time. You'll meet many horrors & by the time the campaign is done, you're character will be a changed person. There will be moments when your characters will beg to go back to Strahd's Domain to escape some of the more dark & twisted places in Ravenloft. -- I'm a big fan of roleplay & we'll lean into the story, but there will be battles & they will be intense. The story we tell will be based on your decisions in the game. Will you try & kill the Dark Lords of the Domains? Will you try to free the people of Ravenloft? Or will something darker emerge through the sessions? -- If you're a new player or experienced, I'm sure this will be a great adventure for you.

Greetings, I'm Cake! I'm your easy going facilitator of both in-person and online quests in D&D, Daggerheart, & Call of Cthulhu. I've been a storyteller my whole life, but about six years ago I fell in love with the TTRPG medium & I haven't looked back! The art of creating adventures and crafting stories has captivated me since my childhood & now that I've found TTRPGS, these wild ideas have been evolving into handcrafted memorable campaigns. I like to blend fantasy, horror, & humor into a a few hours of gaming where we can just sink into our characters & experience their scenes together. Shared storytelling is one of my favorite things about TTRPGs, as a DM, I set up the world & you knock it down, sometimes literally... Creating your character
Please come to the Session 0 with a few different ideas. We'll discuss the campaign a bit & then maybe you'll be inspired to have some connections with your fellow players. Stats will be Roll 4d6 Drop Lowest which we'll roll together - No Rerolls 2024 Rules, starting at Lv 1! All WOTC species are available. If you're picking a more exotic species lets chat prior to Session 0. All 2024 Classes & Subclasses are available. Some 3rd party content is available, but please discuss with me prior to taking it.

What Cake brings to the table
I'll provide the campaign setting books, the maps, custom maps & art pieces, the music, the dynamic lighting, I'll weave your character stories into the overall story to help make our adventure feel unique, & I'll do my best to create some fun NPC voices. I'm someone who wants to see you do really cool stuff, so as long as it can make sense, I'm really open to you using your imagination to try things that might not typically work. 99% of my rolls are made publicly for you all to see.
Homebrew rules
Death Saves are Whispered to me. Companion NPCs get one Death Save roll (which I'll publicly roll). Three Death Save Successes & you're up with 1hp next round.
