About the adventure

Welcome to Melodia, a continent mostly reclaimed by nature following a disaster that ravaged it and nearly wiped out all civilization 500 years past. To survive, people have gathered in massive cities along the coasts, or put themselves in the service of dragons and giants that have risen in the aftermath. But things are getting worse. Demons raid and pillage smaller settlements, other forces stir, putting their own dark plans into motion. You are bound to a coven, one that draws their magic from something older than the cities, older than the dragons, and older than whatever nearly ended the world. An ancient spirit of the land known as Old God promises power, protection, and a fulfillment of wishes in exchange for acting as its agents. For whatever reason you might have, you have answered the call. In a land rebuilding itself, witches are both needed and distrusted. Healers, protectors, cursebreakersโ€ฆ and something far less comforting when pushed. However you are seen, you might be the only thing standing between Melodia and total annihilation. ๐Ÿ“– Witches! This is a character-driven, coven-focused campaign emphasizing relationships, shared power, and the evolving bond between witches and their patron. About me

I got my TTRPG start with D&D 5e but I've been an avid writer and roleplayer for many years besides. I'm hoping to provide an inclusive game where we can bend and stretch the rules in a way that's still cohesive and fun for everyone involved. I run active and engaging games in a custom campaign setting and I'm always willing to try to work with ideas players might have for character creation. I tend to use homebrew systems and mechanics in my games and due to that I will not recommend my games to brand new players. Otherwise, if you're looking for a fun game of D&D in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and don't mind a bit of homebrew, then I'm probably your guy.

Creating your character

Once applications are accepted you'll be given an invite link to a discord server that will have resources for you to get started making your character. Session 0 will involve going over rules and the bulk of character creation once those rules are explained, but the DM will be available to answer questions and help with character creation before session 0 if you want to read through the rules and start making a character before session 0.

Players need to have a microphone, as well as a discord and a foundry forge account. 5e published content will be provided to the players by the DM so the only other thing you need is a willingness to learn a few changes to the rules.

What Ito brings to the table

I'll be bringing maps and tokens via foundry, music via a discord bot that you will have prior warning to long before it starts playing any music, and access to all of the currently published 5th edition material for you to access as well as a veritable hoard of homebrew.

Homebrew rules

Full house rules will be provided in their own document. The game is a base of 2014 dnd with several 2024 editions. - Spell points are optional for most spellcasting classes - Using the Black Flag/Tales of the Valiant luck system rather than heroic inspiration - Flanking provides a -2 to the flanked creature's AC - Mix and match 2014 and 2024 where applicable (For example, versions of spells from both versions are usable, but you can't play a 2024 paladin with 2014 paladin's smites.) - Warlocks can use INT instead of CHA - All PCs gain a number of additional proficiencies in any language, skill, or tool of your choice equal to your intelligence modifier at level 1. - When rolling for HP, you can take average if you roll below average. - Special grid based rolling method for determining stats - Temporary Hit Points from multiple sources stack - You can cast multiple spells in a turn as long as only one of them is higher than 2nd level -Anyone with an INT of 10 or higher can use spell scrolls.

How Ito creates a safe table
