About the adventure
Waterdeep is supposed to be the City of Splendors… but tonight it’s the City of Specters! Arcane sirens blare across the wards as spectral anomalies erupt like fireworks gone horribly wrong. And in the middle of this magical meltdown stands the city’s most questionable line of defense: the Ghostbreakers, Waterdeep’s chronically underfunded, wildly overworked, and dubiously trained paranormal response team. Congratulations, you’re on shift. Your squad is dispatched to investigate what the Department of Arcane Containment confidently labels a “minor haunting.” The moment you arrive, that lie collapses faster than a mimic‑infested tavern table. Spirits are stampeding through the streets, possessed citizens are storming the castle, and someone in the Watch keeps “accidentally” misfiling your requests for backup. Worse, the ghosts seem organized… and that’s never a good sign. Armed with unstable experimental arcane gear, you’ll chase rogue specters through the Jade Jug Inn, attempt to housetrain a pair of demonic hounds, and try to contain magical disasters before they turn into city‑wide catastrophes. Expect big laughs, bigger explosions, and supernatural chaos. If you’re looking for a one‑shot packed with cinematic action, paranormal comedy, and the joyful panic of trying to save a city that really should have hired someone else, Ghostbreakers is your next unforgettable night at the table.

About me
As an organized and detail-oriented Game Master, I bring rich plot lines and immersive story elements to every campaign and one-shot. I specialize involving players seamlessly into the narrative to create cohesive, unforgettable adventures. With experience spanning decades, from my start with the basic Dungeons & Dragons to my deep love for 3.5 edition, I’ve honed my skills and storytelling craft over time. After returning to 5E four years ago, I’ve been hosting weekly online games that keep players engaged and coming back for more. Currently, I run campaigns using the 2024 Dungeons & Dragons rules with a blend of 2014, on the Shard Tabletop (VTT) platform. Let’s roll the dice and make stories come alive!

How DocApocalypse creates a safe table
We can go over any Session 0 concerns on my Discord, we will be taking a 10 minute break half way through the one-shot, and nothing overtly sexual or graphically gory will be taking place at any point.
