About the adventure

For this mission our Field Agents are going to a rural, small, remote valley town surrounded by forests, Morrelton. BICEP HQ has gotten reports from local rangers about wildlife around the town behaving strangely. Now, this wouldn't be enough to send your unit to an area. However, when the research unit that was sent to the area stopped answering their comms, and when the last thing that was heard from them was bloodcurdling screams, HQ decided to send in your unit. This will be a eerie, mystery/horror game. You will be trying to figure out what the threat is and then how to deal with it. Expect to feel like you're in an early YouTube analog horror video except you have a gun. Expect a setting that feels alive, a chin-scratching investigation that will end with a satisfying "AH HA!" which will lead into the horror/monster hunting aspects of the session. "Take a smoke agent, it's gonna be a long mission. Might be your last." LGTBQ+ & BIPOC Friendly No AI has been/will be used

About me

Hey hey lovely people! Hello! I'm Cinna, I've been running various TTRPG games for around 8 years I think and I would love to run one (or even multiple) for you. I take safety at the table very seriously. I introduce a variety of safety tools as well as an RPG Consent Checklist before the game even starts. The point of the game is to have fun but everyone needs to feel safe to roleplay to their hearts content for everyone to have fun. So that is the number 1 priority. I like to communicate with my players frequently, for a variety of reasons. Such as changing something they no longer like about their character, learning what they are looking forward to in the narrative, introducing a new player to the game at their own pace or anything else they would want to come to me with. Other than being a forever GM, I do other things! Here's some non-ttrpg related info about me if you're interested! (but feel free to skip, I won't be offended :3): ✯ I'm a bachelors psychology student ✯ I'm non-binary! (Using the gender spectrum as a jump rope lol) ✯ I am originally from Turkey though I'm living in Lithuania ✯ I'm anti-AI ✯ I'm an aspiring artist. I make music and am in the process of making a short film. I'm also learning how to draw. So I truly have my hand in every cookie jar haha.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be before the one-shot. We can agree on a time to call if you want me to help with it. We will be using the fillable sheets provided in the official Evil Hat website (I will provide the docs so don't worry if you can't find it). We will be using the core playbooks, if you want to play a playbook that isn't in the core bunch, just let me know.

The current party

One character per playbook will be allowed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord account and to be able to participate in discord calls. You will need some tool to edit pdfs to fill the character sheets. The game will take place in a Discord server created for this.

What Cinna brings to the table

I would describe my GM style in one word as, explosive. I like to create tension, utilize horror as a story agent and place comedy between heavy moments to keep things from being exhausting and one-note. There will be tough choices and real, lasting consequences for those choices. There will also be funny or heartwarming moments, precious or straight-up suspicious NPCs and slower pace moments for the party to interact with each other and the world. I like to use a variety of music tracks and sound effects to enhance the atmosphere, immersion or emotional impact of scenes. I embrace rule of cool definitely. If what you're proposing doesn't fit the rules but it's going to make for a better moment for the collective story we're telling, you bet it's happening.

How Cinna creates a safe table

I will be creating a Lines and Veils document and sharing it with the group. X, N & O's will be messaged on a private channel. I will also check in with everyone after intense scenes.
