About the adventure

In this adventure, you are all Aaracokra warriors of different clans, all assigned as guardians of the champion of the South. As they ascend the Floating Mountain of the Aaracokra, you will have to clear the way for them, to make sure they will be able to compete at full strength. Expect to learn the lore of the clans, the thousand year long dispute over the rule of the Floating Mountain and the Floating Isles, as well as the mystery around the West Clan. A New Player Friendly adventure written by me and previously playtested by my friends. This is going to be one of the first sessions I run through Start Playing Games, so come learn the game with me while I learn how to run through Start Playing Games! NO AI USED

About me

Yo! My name is Giwrghs (Yo-rgis) or George, and im a college student in Athens, trying to see if I can do my hobby as a part time job with my studies and even after I finish my studies. I have been playing DnD for 11 years, and in the past 3 years I have started to dabble in other TTRPGs, like Vampire 5th edition and Shadowdark. More availability after the 30th (Its Exam season for me)

Character creation

Creating your character

This is a 3rd Level One-Shot. Majority of character creation will be done in an independent session 0 through Discord. All characters have to be Aaracokra (or any other bird race you may have access to). I allow anything that is in official books, but if you want to play something from a third party we can discuss. I allow most things but I will need to make sure it fits the theme and it isn't gamebreaking!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For this game, you will need to have a Discord account, a Roll20 account and the willingness to make an account if you dont have one for any of the platforms. I will then invite you to a Discord server I have set up for running games, so that we can plan the Session 0 and generally discuss and get to know eachother a bit before the session. Lastly, I will invite you on the Roll20 page and we will play our session!

What Giwrghs brings to the table

In this game, I will be able to provide visuals for combat encounters, using the free assets of Roll20. I mostly work with theater of the mind, but when possible I like to share some images or music to set a scene. The One-Shot is a pre-writen adventure that I have made and run with some friends in the past, so the story is original as well as the enemy stat blocks and puzzle (oops, spoiler).

Homebrew rules

Homebrew: Potion as an Action = Full heal/ Potion as a Bonus Action = Rolled Destiny Point: One 1d6 roll per character, per player to try to alter or empower an action. Its called a Destiny Point as it can change the Destiny of any character. A nat 20 on a Death Save means getting up with 1 HP. A nat 1 means 2 negative saves.

Safety

How Giwrghs creates a safe table

In every session 0, I ask my players to tell me what they never want to have in a session. After I have that information, I make sure it stays out of the game. In case something comes up mid-session, then I do a small break, make sure what the trigger is and change the scene to avoid the trigger. I always respect player limits and Im open to discussing as to avoid future triggers.
