About the adventure
It's the Fourth of July in the Twin Cities and there's two feet of snow on the ground. 🗂️You've just been hired (or conscripted or guilted) into the Bureau of Liminal Affairs: Bloomington's most underfunded, least respected, and only supernatural municipal department. 🛒Your office is a repurposed Sbarro in the Mall of America. Your jurisdiction is everything weird, magical, and impossible that falls between Minneapolis and St. Paul's very complicated politics. Right now, that means: ❄️A Frost Giant family that runs city hall is having a very public meltdown. 🐉A dragon the size of a suburb hasn't honored his end of a 150-year-old pact. 🏢 and somewhere on Level 3 of the Mall, between the Lego store and a Forever 21, there's a shop that wasn't there yesterday selling things that absolutely should not exist. Minnesota Nice only gets you so far. Somebody's gotta file the paperwork. What to expect! 🏢 Urban 5.5e adventure set entirely in the Twin Cities metro, the Mall of America, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the very haunted Minnesota wilderness just beyond the suburbs. ❄️ Campy, fun tone with genuine dramatic stakes. 🛒 The Mall as your home base - a midnight interdimensional bazaar full of bizarre merchants, planar politics, and the best (and most cursed) shopping in any known dimension 🧾 Bureaucratic nonsense, interoffice rivalries, expense reports for magic items, and a boss who really just wants this off her desk. 🐉 A slow-burn central mystery. 🌨️ Minnesota culture is the flavor- lake spirits, Scandinavian giant nobility, hockey rivalries with supernatural consequences, and an endless parade of "oh ya, you betcha" NPCs who are hiding something. 🎭 Roleplay-heavy with tactical combat! Faction diplomacy, investigation, and weird negotiation balanced with genuinely dangerous fights when things go sideways **Please note, if you are interested in this adventure but, it's not at a time/day that works for you, message me! I'm available most days from 6:30pm EST on (and pretty open weekend availability). We can start an adventure on a day/time that works for you!**

About me
Building Parties ⚔️ |🤝Making Friends Hi, I’m Cory! I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games since 2006, and I’ve spent the past 10 years bringing stories to life as a Game Master. I specialize in original, homebrewed campaigns built around the characters at the table. I believe the most engaging stories are the ones the players help create. When you join one of my campaigns, your character’s backstory, relationships, ambitions, fears, and goals become as important as the larger adventure. Building and developing communities is a passion of mine. Whether it’s at the table in fantastical realms full of heroes and villains, or out in our real world creating spaces where the underserved are treated with dignity and respect, I love when people connect finding joy and comradery on this funny little floating rock. When I’m not behind the GM screen, I’m usually at the gym, taking my mini dachshund to the farmers market, or writing my homebrewed settings with the hope of publishing them one day. ☕Table Vibe’s ☕ 👥 Human first. I promise to make mistakes, fumble around, look up a rule I forgot, lose a character voice mid roleplay, and have a tech issue or two here or there. I also expect the same of the players, we shouldn't aspire for perfection, we should have fun. 🐒Laid back, laughter, making friends, active Discord. Roll dice and be merry! 🍄 Inclusivity is paramount. Whether you’re neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, brand new to TTRPGs, or a veteran player, you’ve got a seat at my table.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen on D&D Beyond and during our Session Zero. You are welcome to bring ideas to me on what you want to play/backstories and we will completely flesh out the character creation process all together at our Session Zero.
Party contains: Tri-kreen Rouge Dwarf Paladin Loxodon Druid Human Barbarian The party has investigated some of the Mall of America, explored the Washaba Mine's in St. Paul and are making their way to an audience with Skorenvast, the dragon that is responsible for keeping "The Thing in the North" away from Minnesota. Perfect place to join :)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need Discord, Roll20, and D&D Beyond for this. Links to all will be provided.
What Cory brings to the table
I believe in fun, engaging combat and roleplay at all levels. Rule of Cool will be utilized when it fits, otherwise we will stick to RAW. No evil, loner, jerk characters. You should be able to get along with the party.
Homebrew rules
Nothing standalone but, certain rulings might come up that deviate from RAW. Our goal is a fun, collaborative story :)
