About the adventure
πΈ Free s0 + s1 πΈ π³οΈβπ All-inclusive safe-space π³οΈβπ π± Beginner Friendly π± Hiya~ I'm Emy (she/her), a Brazilian GM with nearly 10 years of d20 experience and a deep love for Pathfinder 2e since the playtest. I focus on strong narrative, expressive roleplay, and tactical combat that rewards creativity, versatility and smart choices. Kingmaker is a really fun campaign, revolving around building a kingdom from the ground up and all of the boons and responsibilities that come with it. But more than that, first you have to clear the land of the bandit lord that settled there, and then you must defend your people from the perils that come your way. I recommend the tabletop version even to those who played the Owlcat Games version, as they are pretty different. The main focus of the campaign is the relationships between the PCs, the NPCs that accompany them and the world around them. While one group might form alliances with most living things on the map, another might build a devil-aligned dictatorship. One thing is for certain: your actions can and will have consequences! Be too kind and you will have leechers, be too strict and you will have revolts, be too magical and you will have corruption, be too rich and you will have dragons. Some of the subsystems are a bit iffy, or downright unplayable, so my suggestion would be to run them narratively, though if the group is up for it, I'm all for adapting and changing stuff on the fly to make it work! Which shape will your kingdom take?

About me
Hello~! You can call me Emy, I'm a Brazilian transfem GM adding up to 10+ years of experience! I started off with 5e and switched over to Pf2e ever since the playtest came out, and now I'm a huge advocate for the system! I speak fluent Portuguese and English, good Japanese and with a little effort I can go back to being almost-fluent in Spanish. I've also lived in Japan for a year, during which I GMed for a completely international group, in English! I was the always GM for a while, but started teaching and incentivizing my players to GM as well, so now I play as many groups as I GM (currently on 6 concurrent groups)! I love roleplaying, be it PCs or NPCs, and exploring the moral ramifications of actions. My favorite part of being a GM is developing settings and making permanent changes to the worlds with my players. My favorite part of being a player is setting up a character arc for my character with the GM and see them evolve as they go through the hurdles the GM prepared.

Creating your character
Characters will start at level 1. Character creation will be made either by the player with help or by figuring out a time to do it together, with players sharing their plans on discord to build a party. Mechanicswise, - All pathfinder 2e ancestries (except Sprites, for lore reasons) are valid, and reflavors and skins are fine (for instance, I play a sphinx using centaur). I also allow any ancestry to change their +++- or ++ stat boost distribution. - All classes are valid, and any reflavor of the existing classes is valid as long as it's consistent with the setting (for instance, I play an Inventor skin Exemplar, where the spark is the power core of the suit). - We'll be using Free Archetype, and no other variant rules (up for voting in session 0). - Uncommon and Rare Items and Spells are allowed on a case-by-case basis, because some of them are too contextual for the adventure they come from, too weak or too strong.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Microphones are a must. Discord will be used and FoundryVTT doesn't have to be downloaded. A basic understanding of at least Chapter 9: Playing the Game of the Pathfinder 2e CRB is also expected (it's available for free online), and if we have beginners we'll go over more mechanics as the game progresses. There is also a 10-ish page Player's Guide available for free talking a bit about the setting and some recommendations for languages, spells and enemies you'll face which is a good read.
What Emy brings to the table
Usually Rules as Intended, but I use the mechanics to tell a story and that's the most important part. We reflavor things, we change things, as long as we keep balance and fun in mind, and everyone agrees, I'm up to try. My roleplay is deep, voiced and immersive, and I use discord bots for BGM if the players want to keep them on. My combats aren't hard, but I like challenging my players to think and see if their builds are versatile enough to handle different types of foes, challenges, environments, and such. More info @ my introduction https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DU0pkt0OiQKFxPZvldXk_OWEtFogfImgtWHMHkflxbQ/edit?usp=sharing The material for the campaign will be on Foundry, including the official art for NPCs, and some artists' interpretations of them, the official maps or maps I acquired or are available for free, as I see fit, and I'll have my own interpretation of the story, encounters and NPCs to make the game unique for the group, instead of blindly following the book. I also bring 4 years of experience with the system (the entirety of it's life!) so I believe I'm a good judge for balancing and teacher for rules explaining.

How Emy creates a safe table
A session-long session 0 going over my style, everyone's preferences and expectations, any triggers and discomforts, along with anything that has to be discussed before game. Every session ends with a moment to realign expectations, give feedback for both the GM and the other players, so we're always aligned with what we like, want and expect. Scenes stop if any players asks for it to stop, anywhere, anytime, no questions asked. Player comfort and agency is of the highest importance.
