About the adventure

The pharmaceutical development company ZyMedBio has recently begun drug trials on human subjects. The company touts its new drug - Zylactis - as a breakthrough treatment for a variety of illnesses. Are their preliminary results too good to be true? New players welcome. Pregen characters. Players are encouraged to remain in character throughout the 3 hour session. During the game there's no need to think in terms of game mechanics or to ask the GM questions. All that's necessary is to describe where your character is, what they say, and what they do.

About me

Hi, I'm Michael, and I love to play RPGs. Players have told me the games I run are challenging (to the PC's), but cordial and encouraging (to the players). I welcome co-creation from everyone at the table. One of my goals as a GM is to ensure players are in alignment in their preference of playing styles. How much RP'ing, how much combat, how much problem solving, etc.? These are the issues I discuss with players prior to starting a session.

Pregen characters.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Roll20 for character sheets, dice roller, and simple VTT. Discord for voice and video.

What Michael brings to the table

My role as a GM is to set a scene and to then react to the PCs' actions. I occasionally do NPC voices and/or use ambient diegetic music. I favor RAW but may apply Rule of Cool in an even-handed manner if it improves the story.

Homebrew rules

Group initiative. Custom tables for Bouts of Madness.

Safety

How Michael creates a safe table

I'll message players prior to the game to see what subject matter they would like to avoid. Timeouts can be called during a session if any player feels uncomfortable with the direction of the scenario.
