Creating your character
First of all, a Session 0 will be required to set together: - starting level (could be any from 2 to 6) - characters - triggering themes or situations - expectations, desires, etc. The easiest way to create the characters is any PDF character sheet To keep it simple, we could use the standard point buy, you can use any manual. Unofficial ones *can* be used after a brief discussion
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We can use Discord (or Google Meet) + Roll20, that's the standard way I play. There is still another option, no Roll20 and instead using the "Theater of the Mind": no battle grids, everything is more fluid. I will show you maps and images of where you are and what you see, without the "moving the miniatures" component. Let's choose together!
What Samuel brings to the table
I'd love to use ambient music, but i found out not everyone likes it, somebody even find it very distracting or annoying. Tactical combat is something i do like for sure, depending on who i'm playing with. Oh, i LOVE the Rule of the Cool, as much as I love creative use of spells and situations
Homebrew rules
I'd keep it pretty standard, unless required from the party: in combat you can make a Knowledge or a Perception check for free

How Samuel creates a safe table
Will discuss everything in a session 0, plus i'll send a Lines&veils document, yes. Messaged X, N, O's are imho the best, since you won't feel exposed
