About the adventure
Dungeons, brimming with danger and treasures; monsters, both malicious and benign; puzzles to stimulate the mind and curiosity; and silly NPCs to keep it all going! Whether we’re trying to stake Strahd or explore the horrors of Saltmarsh I’m looking for a group to do it together with! I want to get new modules and I’d rather gather a group and pick the one to fit what they want to play rather than throwing darts at the board hoping to get one people will want to play. So bring me concepts, vibes, and settings you want to play! That’s what we’ll cover in session 0 to land on which one we want to play. I don’t mind if you look through catalogues of the modules and come in with a couple in mind to suggest that has always sounded fun to you. That’s the idea here is that I want to gather a party and find something ya’ll wanna play all the way through. I’m intending to mostly look at the long term campaigns of levels 1-12. If we reach the end and you want to keep going I’d be happy to transition to homebrew or one of the later game modules to allow you all to see your characters to the very end and apex of what PCs can do. So join me for an adventure of your groups choosing. Extra’s on Pricing and pacing of sessions: Session 0 is $5 and the first actual session with me is $10 so I give people two chances for a discounted price to make sure they’ll enjoy my game. If after you’ve played a session with me you leave me a positive review your next full price session will be $15! I intend to run as close to the 4 hour mark as possible(if the group can go to the end we will!)with maybe a small break in the middle to touch base and use the bathroom.

About me
Howdy ya’ll! I’m Peter and I got my start playing tabletops with DnD 3.5e at a friends birthday party when I was 13 and I’ve been hooked ever since. From there I started playing years of pathfinder 1e with my online gaming friends and transitioned into dming because I loved the storytelling opportunities. Tabletop roleplaying games have always been about community, fun, and expression for me so I do my best to cultivate it in any play space. I believe the most important and fun aspects of tabletop roleplaying come out in the collaboration of everyone involved to advance the story; and this can only happen when everyone feels safe, respected, and like they are an equal part of the story. My whole philosophy as a GM is centered around keeping the story collaborative and fun for everyone involved. Creating investment with my players is key: This always starts with a session 0 where we get everyone on the same page for expectations. Players who join campaigns later will at the least get a quick one on one session 0 to prep. As for details about myself I am a non-straight neurodivergent man doing my best to turn my biggest hobby and passion into a job so I can share the things I love about it with others. When I’m not furthering that goal I am devouring my favorite media which includes everything horror and fantasy on my couch with a lap full of my elderly kitties and my partner by my side.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
For character creation in 5e I like to go with custom backgrounds where you each can choose a feat to fit your characters origin and then have three +1’s to distribute among stats after rolling instead of using species/racial stats. I like to roll stats, but use two different heroic methods and you can use either. We’ll roll and character build together in session 0, but the methods are 5d6 drop the two lowest per stat or 4d6 rerolling ones and dropping the lowest. Don't worry too much about it we will all make characters together during session 0. Just think about character concepts you like!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have a roll20 account and pay attention to messages on here! As we get more members I will update people with group messages and provide a roll20 link where we’ll meet for session 0 and later for actual sessions. I look forward to getting to know and play with ya’ll!
What Pert brings to the table
Over a decade of GMing experience across multiple systems, a goofy personality, a love for creating dynamic situations that play out different than the norm, and my genuine concern that you’re having a good time. I do my absolute best to tune in to every player and give you all chances to shine.
Homebrew rules
Outside of my homebrew creation methods I don’t use anything else other than rule of cool as the situation demands.

How Pert creates a safe table
I use lines and veils, X and M cards, and in depth session zero content warnings to protect my players. We also take breaks and I’ll check in with everyone during those times.
