About the adventure
This introduction to Masks: A New Generation is designed to teach the basics and get you right into Halcyon City. You'll join the world as a fresh-faced hero trying to do some good between homework, chores, rehearsal, and that new job. Fight off the terrible foes that rampage across the city all while everyone else is trying to tell you how you should be. The precise nature of the adventure will be determined based on the characters and desires of the players who register earliest. Masks: A New Generation is a fun game that evokes the classic coming-of-age superhero comic books and cartoons, similar to X-Men or Teen Titans featuring the easy-to-use Powered by the Apocalypse system. About me
I've been playing various forms of role-playing games formally for more than 2 decades, including online, written, table top, and more, while informally, I've been playing and performing roles all my life. I love creating and sharing stories, all the more so when the players truly become part of the world by surprising me with their choices. Professionally, I have a background in history and am a recently-recovering educator, and I bring both to the gaming table by helping players learn the game and developing unique and non-standard worlds and stories while using a teach-as-we-go method for new players.

Creating your character
Players will have an opportunity to choose from pre-made character options or can try their hand at making their own prior to the game session. Players who register within 6 hours of the game session should plan on using a pre-made character. We will then spend a brief time at the beginning of the session pulling the team together before launching into the game.

Preparing for the session
Players will receive information on joining the Delphi Discord server upon joining, and will use a Google Sheet for character creation and reference. No other links or accounts will be required.

How Delphi creates a safe table
This game is a light-hearted adventure in a cartoon / comic book setting. Players should expect a PG experience, with a live-play caution. Line and veil document will be available ahead of the game and players should fill it out before game time to ensure that the game can move quickly.
