About the adventure

The Arcane Library one shot: Crypts of Azarumme, a story for characters of level 3 or higher is role play rich as well as combat rich. I will be running this for those that have never played Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, or are looking for a refresher. I'll be showing how to create characters in DnD beyond for import into Foundry VTT, how to interact as a player in Foundry VTT, how to role play, and how to go through combat. I use the 3D canvas plugin for immersion and tons of automation tools to help you get into the action without all the math; with it still explained so you can learn!

About me

I've been my friends forever GM since 3.5 and 1e pathfinder and have loved doing it! During Covid, I really started to enjoy playing DnD using Foundry and Roll20, being able to draw up my own maps and tokens without an expensive trip to the game shop. I focus on running official modules and one shots to make things a bit easier while I draw up my own custom campaign based on things that my players enjoy! My style tends to be survival and RP heavy sessions instead of just gathering numbers, and I really enjoy gothic/dark settings. My first question to you as a player will always be "What are you comfortable with and what is a hard limit" to ensure everyone is comfortable and having a fun time, and the end of sessions will most often be me asking for feedback on my performance as a DM so I can always improve. I am also a streamer (a VTuber nonetheless) but sessions will NOT be streamed/recorded without unanimous consent from the group.

Character creation

Creating your character

Create the characters beforehand in DnD beyond, I'll be sending out the campaign link for you all to use. This character must be completed by the start of the session.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

-webcam (optional) -mic (required) -Not required, but learning the basic outline of how to run your turn from the Player's Handbook can only help. -You can have your own physical or digital copies of the source books if you'd prefer, i don't gatekeep the source material

What Zed brings to the table

I will be bringing the whole campaign with interactive maps, NPC illustrations, customizable dice within Foundry, 2D or 3D worlds based on individual computers performance, the source books as well as the server hosting.

Safety

How Zed creates a safe table

Players can expect an indepth discussion of lines and veils, as well as a tutorial of the built in X,N, and O interface within Foundry VTT. After the limits are discussed and characters have been approved (if they hadn't already) the game will start and will run until the end of the one-shot. During this time, there will be role play and combat adhering to the limits. After the one-shot, there will be a small talk during which I'll provide as well as ask for feedback on how the game went.
