About the adventure

Campaign Overview Set in the world of The Elder Scrolls, this campaign takes place after A Stormcloak victory in Skyrim. With the Empire weakened, the Aldmeri Dominion tightens its grip across Tamriel, enforcing order through the ruthless Thalmor. You will begin as prisoners, captured, condemned, and forgotten... caught in the machinery of a regime that tolerates no dissent. This is a story of survival, identity, and what it means to stand against power in a world already at war, and on the brink of collapse. _______________________________________________________________________ Darkness presses in before sight returns. The first thing they feel is motion, the rhythmic, punishing pull of an oar in chained hands. Salt stings cracked skin. The air is thick with brine, sweat, and fear kept quiet under threat of leather whips. When your eyes finally open, it is to dim lanternlight swaying with the roll of the ship. Rows of prisoners stretch along the hull, wrists bound, backs raw from labor. Above you, The Thalmor, the High elves overseers pace with Cruel, vitriolic gazes, robes immaculate despite the sea, gazes sharper than the blades at their hips. A prisoner falters. The crack of a staff echoes. An Elven soldier in golden armor brings it down again without hesitation. No warning, Just Punishment. “Row, You Rebel Dog!” The command is Loud, Sharp. Somewhere ahead, through the groaning timbers, a voice murmurs of destination, Alinor... The Summerset Isles. Execution waits there. Only an end. Then the storm begins. At first, it is subtle, a tremor in the water, a wind that moves against itself. The lanterns flicker though no draft should reach them. The sea shifts… Something is happening.... Thunder follows, but too sharp, too close. The ship lurches. A wave slams the hull hard enough to throw bodies against wood and iron. Another follows, higher than the last. The sky outside flashes, not white, but violet, streaked with Lightning too bright, and too loud. Everything is quiet.... Just for a moment.... And that moment breaks everything. Water crashes through the lower deck. Chains rattle. Prisoners scream. The storm howls louder, unnatural, relentless. Boots pound down the steps. One of these golden skinned Elves grabs You, fingers like iron clamping around your throat, hauling you upward with effort. Your feet barely find purchase as you're dragged face-to-face with cold, golden eyes. The chaos rages behind him, but his voice cuts through it cleanly. “Whats your Name, Dog!?” _______________________________________________________________________ What to Expect: 📜 A narrative-driven campaign with strong Elder Scrolls themes ⚔️ Exploration of war-torn regions and political tension ⛈️ Survival-focused early gameplay that evolves into larger stakes 🌍 Meaningful choices that shape the world around you

Homebrew rules

Crunchy Crits: When you roll a critical hit, rather than rolling your damage dice twice (or rolling twice the number of dice), your first roll will automatically be “rolled” at max value, and you will roll the additional dice, adding that damage to the first (maxed) roll before adding any modifiers to determine total damage. a. For example, if you are attacking with a longsword and roll a critical hit, rather than rolling 2d8, you will automatically “roll” an 8 on the first die, and you will roll the second die as you usually would. Say you have a damage modifier of +1 and roll a 6 with your second die, your damage roll will be 8 + 6 = 14 + 1, for a total damage of 15. Lingering Injuries: See the "lingering injuries table" the Dungeon Masters Guide chapter: 9, page 272.
