About the adventure
Welcome to Talmandor’s Bounty — and watch the sun fade. You arrive as invited researchers for a rare celestial event, only to see a column of shadow rise from the sea and begin blotting out the sky. Raid a buried sunless prison, free villagers trapped in fake daylight, and race up an ancient tower to destroy the device that would plunge the world into eternal night. What you’ll get at my table 🌑 A tense, horror-tinged campaign blending investigation, claustrophobic dungeon delves, and cinematic boss fights. 🦇 Vampire-focused threats, shadow-twisted monsters, and ritual-stopping objectives that reward creativity and teamwork. 🧭 Handouts, maps, custom NPCs, and session recaps provided. 🛠 Foundry VTT-ready play (maps, tokens, sound) + Discord for voice/chat and between-session character access. ⚖ Inclusive, safety-first table with a short session zero and tools (X-card, lines & veils). We will be playing weekly at the same time for about three hours, with a short break. If you have any questions about the campaign or about my GM style, please do not hesitate to contact me here or on Discord. And if you have a full party ready to take on the growing darkness, get in touch to set up a private campaign for your group.

About me
Greetings, adventurers. My name is George, and I have been immersing myself in TTRPGs since around 2001. My journey into the realm of Game Mastering took a serious turn with the release of Pathfinder. My background in theatre, history, and education has been instrumental in shaping my GM style, which emphasizes dramatic conflict, challenging decisions, and character development. I’ve had the pleasure of engaging with a diverse and international player population, both online and in person. This experience has enriched my understanding of the game and its global appeal. The games I run are primarily drawn from official Paizo publications for Pathfinder, supplemented by key resources from publishers like Kobold Press and Sly Flourish. In each campaign, I make it a point to engage with the player characters’ backgrounds. This begins with a session zero where we collaboratively create characters that align with the theme of the campaign. Each campaign I run is a unique world unto itself. I strive to create a distinctive and consistent atmosphere for each one, whether it’s the dark and grim tone of a horror campaign or the epic battles of a high fantasy adventure. Some campaigns may include unique mechanics tailored to their theme. My games, even when played remotely online, aim to emulate the feel of a traditional tabletop experience as much as possible. I prefer to keep technology from overwhelming the gameplay, allowing us to focus on the human elements of the game - the people around our virtual table. I am always available to answer questions through this site. If you have any doubts before signing up for a session, please contact me. I am always eager to hear from established parties who are looking for a new GM. Whether you have already been gaming together, or you are a group of friends, coworkers, or a family group, I would love to embark on an adventure with you. I am also open to requests from existing/ongoing groups for a specific campaign for your party. Whether you have a published module in mind or just an idea that you’d like to develop, I’m here to help you play the game you want to play! Remember, the essence of tabletop gaming is to have fun and create memorable stories together. Let’s roll the dice!

Creating your character
We will have a thorough session zero to discuss the campaign setting and the themes of the adventure, so that you are fully informed before you make your decisions. There is also a detailed players' guide published by Paizo, specifically for this adventure. Play begins at 1st level, and characters will reach 10th level at the conclusion of the adventure - note that unlike similar adventure paths there is no actual game content at 10th level. Beginner players should have no problem getting started since play begins at 1st level.
Brand new party, starting at 1st level.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to create accounts with Discord (which we will use for communication between and during sessions) and Forge, which hosts our viritual table top. You can either download Discord or use the web based client - Forge is entirely web-based, and really not optimised to work on mobile devices, so please ensure that you use a computer of some kind during play. Additionally, there are various free resources available for Pathfinder players - there is no need to buy any game content if you do not wish to. Links to these resources will be provided before session zero. You will need a good headset and microphone to ensure a comfortable experience for yourself and others. A camera is highly encouraged but not required. Experience shows that games using video conferencing are generally more succesful, and players feel more engaged, included, and able to avoid misunderstandings.
What George brings to the table
All material required to play (dice, character sheets, maps, visual aids, and more) will be provided digitally through Foundry. We will be using the official digital adventure modules from Paizo, with custom art, effects, and sound design.
Homebrew rules
I tend to stick to rules as written, which I find is what most Pathfinder players prefer, though I also like to keep the game fairly fast paced. For example, I find it unnecessary to roll five separate Thievery checks to unlock a door when there is no time pressure! We will be using some optional rules, however: - Free Archetype - Gradual Ability Boost None of these affect character creation at 1st level, and should not add any further complication for beginner players.

Safety
How George creates a safe table
A digital version of the safety cards will be installed on Foundry, which functions anonymously. During our session zero, we will discuss our own personal limits on the content we would like to see included or excluded in the game. These adventure does include some sensitive subjects, which could be triggering for some players. In addition to the violence and danger typical of high fantasy adventure, the authors have highlited the inclusion of torture, confinement, and abuse between romantic partners. None of these are targeted towards the player characters. One unusual aspect of the adventure is that there are periods of time were the heroes might feel "trapped" - meaning having no access to their home base - but these will hopefully serve to enhance the story telling rather than to frustrate players.
