Creating your character

World of Darkness games allow players to create their own monsters. Character Creation uses basic character creation from the rulebook. For more on playable options for this story, see below. • Lightless Path stories follow the same CC guidelines as typical Chronicles, including your choice of Sea of Time options.

Preparing for the session

For this adventure, you'll need Discord and a good mic and headset for verbal communication. You'll also need a Forge VTT account, which you can sign up for easily with Google. Video, physical dice, and source material are not required, and all source material will be provided through Foundry for free. In addition to weekly sessions, players also get character support throughout the week, first dibs on seats and discounts, discord access, and access to this Chronicle's recordings. Lightless Path stories require the following, • Startplaying is used for payment, • Discord for voice communication, video not required • Forge-vtt.com provides access to the RAGE Games Foundry. If needed, this can be streamed in-call for you with ease • Mic and Headphones or equivelent, as long as I can hear you without echo and vice versa. • A calm and quiet environment where you can relax and focus

RAGE Games provides everything you need for your World of Darkness horror story. We reference WoD 5th Edition content, and all necessary information will be provided. Startplaying is used for organization, Discord is used for voice, and Foundry is used for play. Lightless Path stories use and provide the same Foundry content as a main Chronicle, including; • Audio assets like music, ambiance, scenes, and SFX • Visual aids including tokens, maps, scenes, and lighting • All current edition powers and their extended rulesets • All WoD5 and RAGE Games homebrew Advantages and Flaws • Character creation guides, premade build options, and more

Homebrew rules

RAGE Games provides a growing assortment of homebrew perks, abilities, and flaws to round out your character. All systems stick to rules-as-written where possible, with extra rulings as needed for multi-splat conversion. Can include more player-specific houserules • Personal houserules can be minor tweaks to systems • PC-specific houserules do not carry over into main chronicles • Some homebrew options may be available for playtesting
