About the adventure
Kalyps was a war ground for the Gods until they abandoned it 2000 years ago, taking magic with them. The remnants of magic exist as magic items scattered around the world, or deep underground in mysterious vestiges of the time before the Gods left. In the Amethyst City of Terminovus, the scheming guilds and criminal elements have stumbled upon some magic artifacts, and a plot has been formed to bring them together with unknown consequences. You have been hired by the Peacekeepers to find out what is happening. This is an attempt to tell a full heroes' story from level 1-High levels which means it's good for beginners and veterans alike. You will start with characters who can't do magic, but who knows what may happen as the story progresses: your choices matter! Beginners! This is a perfect chance to learn as you play, we're starting with very basic players and rules, and depending on how the story develops, you will learn new rules and how to use magic as we play. Veterans! This is a chance to play out the broken multi-classes you've been sitting on for a while.

About me
I'm Anton. I'm in my 40s, and I've been storyteller all my life. I came to role play about 2015 in the form of LARPing, though I found most of the systems are quite hard to get any plot to yourself unless you're friends with the games team, so when I came to TTRPGs during lockdown I fell in love immediately. I've been playing about 5 years and DMing for about 4, and have even started voice acting off the back of my TTRPG experience. It only makes sense to start running games professionally. I am very much on the side of Rule of Cool and RP heavy games, though I like to throw in plenty of combat too, and hopefully, make my combat a little less straightforward than usual. I like to be the architect of my worlds, so expect home brew settings, and maybe some rules borrowed from other games or 3rd party material, but everything we use is available to view on the discord. I like to stay organised. Most of all, I want you to have fun, and get a little lost in my world.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please join the Discord server. This is where we play, and you can find all the relevant materials in the materials channel. We play with cameras on, on Discord imitating a real table. VTT only used for combat. I trust my players to roll real dice, or use an online dice simulator.
What Anton brings to the table
I will supply PDFs, maps, puzzles as needed. We use ambient music and noises where appropriate. I am a voice actor and will give you some unique NPCs to interact with. This is a heavy Role Play campaign, so we use Rule of Cool.
Homebrew rules
No spells at beginning of campaign. Magic items are rare. Potions as a bonus action. Other optional rules to be discussed at session zero, but could include modified criticals and death saves.

How Anton creates a safe table
I do a 5 minute session zero before every session. I ask people to private message me any hard/soft lines. We also talk about character development in session zero. After a session I will run starts and wishes to check what people liked and disliked, and always reiterate that people can message me with any issues or problems, including feedback about myself.
