About the adventure
Play Curse of Strahd in a most cinematic and drama-filled version of the campaign! Using the far more interesting 'Western Start', we will explore Curse of Strahd in a true sandbox fashion, encountering NPCs depending on the choices you make, and a story that will unfold unlike any other campaign you've ever experienced. Will you uncover the mystery of Strahd's curse? Will you dive deeper to understand the origins of the werewolves, the revenants, and the misery affecting the three towns in Barovia? Perhaps you can unlock the secret ending, one that can forever break the cycle of torment and finally free the land of this curse? But there is a Daggerheart twist... With FEAR on the rise in a highly cinematic system, you cannot trust in the game systems and conventions of old. Creating your character
We will create characters during our FREE Session 0! Ahead of time, please check out the cards and text in the Daggerheart core book or the FREE rules downloads available at Daggerheart.com. In addition to the Core Mechanics and Character Creation options, be sure to check out the Best Practices and roleplay advice throughout the book for Players. Be prepared to come to Session 0 with a spirit of collaboration, a generous attitude towards creativity, and the willingness to try new things. Void Heritages and Classes will not be used. What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please make sure you have a Discord account, a clear microphone, and a copy of the Daggerheart core book (whenever you can). While the Daggerheart core book is not essential to play, the details provided and the excellent advice throughout is very helpful. Plus, the cards that come with are a great reminder for gameplay. The free rules on Daggerheart.com will also suffice.
What Jeremiah | The Direpug Storyteller brings to the table
Above all, I provide a consistent schedule with a game story that revolves around YOU and your choices. I will provide a Discord channel for the Players to talk casually, communicate OOC during game, post character arts, and facilitate voice chat during session. I will have a music bot, a dice bot, and will incorporate artwork into the gameplay. I will stick to rules as written, with a spirit of rules as intended, to make the most dramatically satisfying role-playing campaign that I can. I will sometimes voice act, and I will provide a complex social/political narrative with an array of unforgettable NPCs, dangerous encounters, and the fate of nations on the line.
Homebrew rules
We will be adapting the Curse of Strahd campaign to fit the gameplay of Daggerheart, not the other way around. No Void content.
