About me

Hello! I am Calliope, but you can just call me Cal or Cali or whatever you want really. I have been a GM for just over 5 years now, and fell in love with it the moment I began GMing, enjoying the art of crafting worlds, stories and encounters that players will love. As the one to drag all my friends into this hobby, I have lots of experience helping new players learn the rules and always enjoy introducing and helping new players learn this amazing hobby. Recently having earned myself a degree in Game Design has allowed to put my academic experiences towards crafting even better games for my players. Although I am not a perfect being and will always be open to feedback from my player to make the games even better for them. My goal as a GM is to build inclusive, enjoyable community for all my players.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place in the free session 0. We will be using D&D 5.5e rules for this campaign, although anything can be ported over from 5e. While not required, players are encouraged to look over the class and species list to get a an idea of what they would like to play. I will help guide any players that need it through the process, from rolling stats to writing a backstory, I will help you create the character you envision step-by-step.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

This campaign will require 4 things: - A free discord account for calls and communication - A good microphone - A browser capable of running Owlbear Rodeo - A stable internet connection While not require an Owlbear Rodeo account can make things smoother.

What Calliope brings to the table

I offer players a fun and inclusive space to learn and play the game. Throughout the game I will be providing maps, visual aids, and background music to draw you in and immerse you into the story and world. As a game designer, I am able to bend the rules and create items that help you build the character you desire while still keeping everything balanced for all players.

Homebrew rules

All house rules will be discussed in the free session 0, allowing the party to choose whether the rule fits their play style.

Safety

How Calliope creates a safe table

Before the game even gets started, a Session 0 will be hosted for free. In this session all the players limits will be established along with the tone that this game will take. Even after that, I am always free to talk outside of game about anything the players felt uncomfortable about, could use improving, or desire to see more of.
