About the adventure
Have you never touched a die beyond the six-sided one during family boardgame nights? Not even sure what a ‘table top roleplay’ game is? Do you want to try out a game, but are overwhelmed by the dense rules? You have found yourself in the right place ⚔️ This tutorial will teach you how a game of ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ works, as well as the essential rules as you are guided through your first adventure. ────── ⋆⋅ 𖤓 ⋅⋆ ────── As an adventurer you’ve made your way in the world by slaying monsters haunting the edges of civilization, accompanying people across dangerous roads, delving into ruins for treasure, and anything else requiring a little extra daring or strength. Sore from your adventuring you’ve decided to stock up on some supplies in the market town of Brightfall, but shattering the morning ambience is thooves on cobblestone clattering towards you. A curly coated sheep, clutching a magical scroll in its mouth, stumbles in your direction, butting your leg adamantly for the scroll to be read. Why is this sheep delivering this scroll? And who are the raised angry voices chasing after it? 🐏There is only one way to find out 🐏

About me
📜 Pro GM running games in-person and online for 7+ years 🚫 AI-free games | No AI used in any materials or preparation 🧙 Introduced and taught over 70+ new players to ttrpgs 🏳️🌈 Queer woman building welcoming and inclusive games ⚔️LARPer of 8+ years | Full-time crew across several LARP games 🇬🇧 Based in London, UK Whether you’re brand new to tabletop roleplay games or a veteran player, there’s always room for another hero at my table. I love introducing new players to the hobby and watching them fall in love with the magic and immersion of ttrpgs. One of my favorite parts of GMing is seeing players grow their confidence, coming out of their shells and really step into their characters and the story. I also enjoy giving the forever GM the chance to finally sit on the other side of the screen and enjoy being a player again. At my tables I hope to reignite that thrill for you of not knowing what awaits in the dark corners of exploration, or where the story will twist next. I often run published adventure modules, but enjoy adding homebrew to strengthen the story and better integrate player characters. Your next adventure starts here!

Creating your character
Character creation is not covered during the session. Character sheets will be sent over as pdfs, and during the session we will run through what each part of the sheet means and how it works. 🧙Creating Your Own Character🧙 If you feel confident making your own character please do so, and send it over to me when completed so I can make sure everything works for our game. Below are the guidelines for your character, but feel free to message me with any questions or clarifications! - Allowed Sourcers: All official D&D 5.5e content! How Game Master Ruby creates a safe table
I aim to create a table where everyone feels safe, respected, and comfortable participating. Before we start the one-shot we will talk through the tone, boundaries, and expectations for the session, as well as explain how the safety tools active during play work. During games, I use X, N, and O cards digitally (via message, held up in a camera, or said outloud), so you can flag anything instantly and we will jump over any triggering content no questions asked. I also encourage an open door policy, meaning you can step away whenever you need, no explanation required. Sessions include regular breaks, and I offer a short debrief/aftercare at the end so players can come down from intense moments and share feedback.
