About the adventure

So you done got yourself bit by a blood sucking vampire and they turned you into one of them. Now you stalk the shadows as a creature of the night, sworn to secrecy lest the truth of your undead nature be revealed to the waking mortals who all vampires feed off of. But you don't have time for all that angst, you're going to make it big as a band of touring vampires. Let's hit the road. Travel from city to city across Europe, meeting new Kindred (vampires) and Kine (mortals) in each city. Get entrenched in the drama and choose sides before heading out to the next stop. From Berlin, to Vienna, to Copenhagen, to Brussels, and finally to Paris, see Europe by night as only a vampire can. One goal rests above all else for you and your bandmates - get the fame and fortune you've always deserved, or face final death while trying.

About me

Hi, I'm Lyra, a 21 year old trans woman, running TTRPGs almost constantly since the 8th grade. I love horror media, from movies and TV to books, podcasts, and games. I frequently draw inspiration from these when planning TTRPG sessions. Some of my earliest memories are of telling stories to my peers, whether to entertain or just for personal enjoyment. I have not, nor will I ever, use large language models, machine learning, or any other form of "AI" in any art I create. This includes all TTRPGs I run. I believe this is a moral and spiritual imperative for all artists. My short story "My fingers still search for her" was published in Plenitude Magazine in 2025 and can be read here: https://plenitudemagazine.ca/my-fingers-still-search-for-her.

Character creation

Creating your character

Prior to Session 0 all a player needs to do is have a rough idea of the kind of character they might like to play. All players will be playing neonates and fledglings, relatively newly turned vampires mostly unfamiliar with how the World of Darkness operates but hoping to make it big nonetheless. During Session 0 I will walk all players through character creation together. Character archetypes with suggested stats and details will be provided as options for new players as well as those struggling to come up with ideas. Loresheets as well as other materials necessary for character creation will be provided beforehand for players to read through so as to start idea generation before Session 0 begins.

The current party

The band currently features: head vocalist Eden, a Toreador neonate still kept under the close tutelage of her sire; Everett aka Never, Toreador songwriter and artiste extraordinaire; and Morgué on the keys, a Malkavian who uses a Magic 8 Ball to help with decision making.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before your first session join the Discord via the link which will be sent as soon as you join the campaign. Once there introduce yourself and have a look through the provided materials.

What Lyra brings to the table

Immerse yourself in the life of an undead rock star through a full playlist of ambient jazz tracks, thrumming beats, and whatever genre your band plays to score the session. You'll also hear a variety of voices for the wide cast of NPCs featured in this campaign.

Safety

How Lyra creates a safe table

Prior to the start of the game a Session 0 will be held during which Lines and Veils will be established. All that essentially means is that we'll discuss several themes and you as players will choose how much you'd like to see each come up. If you feel at any point that somebody has violated the Lines and Veils or that you need there to be an update to the list please contact me as soon as possible so I can make the appropriate alterations and inform the other players. During character creation we will discuss the concept of Bleed and how to manage it. Either emphasizing it for a potentially emotionally vulnerable game or minimizing to provide emotional cushioning from the many terrible things you will see and have done to you. After every session I intend to stay on call to discuss and chat about events in the session in a calm and lighthearted environment.
