About the adventure
🏳🌈 You are most welcome here. --- 💽 INCOMING PRIORITY MESSAGE FROM GLOBAL DEFENSE AGENCY: The GDA needs you to infiltrate a warehouse that we believe is being used by The Mauler Twins. Get inside and stop whatever they're up to. Good Luck. --- "Metro Mayhem" is the introductory campaign for the Invincible Superhero Roleplaying game. In this adventure set shortly after the brutal fight between Invincible and Omni-Man, you'll learn the basics of the Year Zero Engine superhero rules as one of five iconic heroes: - Atom Eve - Robot - Rex Splode - Monster Girl - Bulletproof If you're interested in creating your own hero for the adventure, I'll be hosting a an optional Session 0 where you'll be able to create your own hero. --- Hey, GM Chris of WickerGames here. I love comic books and superheroes deeply, with Invincible being one of my all-time favorite examples of the medium. For 23 years I've been running TTRPGs and this is the first superhero one I've loved enough to tell stories in. Come try the game before it releases in the summer and experience the bone-crunching action and moral choices that have made Invincible famous.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey y'all, I'm Chris. I'm a late 30-something Game Master from and currently living on the edge of Hillbilly Nation in the state of Kentucky. For a little north of the past 20 years I've usually been actively running, or thinking about running, some sort of tabletop roleplaying game. In 2003, I started running games because no one else wanted to play the game I wanted to. Then in 2024, I decided to take the plunge and try asking complete strangers to *pay* me to play make-believe for a few hours every week. To be completely honest, I still have a hard time understanding why, but after a couple of years of doing this at a professional level I'm starting to accept that I might be good at it. I'm a shy person by nature. I have mild stutter, plenty of anxiety, and enough self-doubt to go around -- but I also love being a Game Master. It's fun, it's creatively rewarding, and I'm constantly getting to meet and learn about new people, places, and things when I do it. Listen, I re-wrote and deleted huge chunks of this. I want to respect your time and try to make your experience fun. I want you to feel like you can relax, have a good time, and get engaged in creating a fun experience that makes your 3-ish hours with me a highlight of your week. Everything else is just set dressing.

Creating your character
Players can choose between one of five premade characters from the Invincible Universe or attend a special session 0 where you'll be able to make your own character for the adventure.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a free Discord account, a microphone, and a headset (certain earbuds like Apple Earpods may also work). A desktop computer is also recommended but many laptop models are more than suitable for this session. - Communication will be handled via a private Discord Server. - Books and character sheets are in PDF format. Rulebooks are hosted on non-downloadable Google Drive links.
What WickerGames brings to the table
I'm providing a customized Foundry VTT with a little automation to provide a fun, fast, rpg environment and a Discord music bot to play ambient music and sound effects during our sessions.

How WickerGames creates a safe table
I use a Lines and Veils document to establish safety lines, but I make sure to have a talk about safety before our first session properly begins. In-game, I have an X-card system that I encourage anyone who's uncomfortable to use. There are absolutely zero instances of sexual assault or sexual harassment permitted in my games.
