About the adventure
Welcome to Union, the utopia of ten thousand years in the future! And, like all utopias, while it wants to be perfect... it really can't be. There are people trying to take over chunks of it, rogue corpoo-states trying to dominate resources, and civilization is run by cramming Cthulhu into a box and asking him nicely to take care of your meetings for you! When he says no, it's very bad. That's why you're here - an elite mecha pilot with the training and equipment to stop pirates, blow up entire battlegroups that belong to the bad guys and... well, you're mostly just really hoping that the eldritch being crammed into your own mech doesn't make a deal with the one you've got to stop from unmaking reality. No use worrying about that! There's a galaxy to save, and you're one of the few who can save it! Suit up, Lancers!

About me
Mostly GMing for the last 30 years, I've had more ideas than I could ever get to the table. Hopefully, this will be a chance to get a few of them out of my head! I tend towards story-focused games that incorporate player input and plot threads, ranging from comedic tones to horrific ones. A student of myth, history, and true crime, I try to layer in some of the complexities that show up more in reality than in most published games - the forces of good and evil trend more towards the gray spaces in between, even the worst villains may have the best of motivations, and people are shaped by their pasts as much as their place in the story. I find it's a mindset that helps give a bit more depth to the world, and makes things feel a little more epic when done right.

Creating your character
Jason Leisemann will provide pre-made character sheets for you to choose from after you sign up or at the start of the game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to have a Discord account for voice chat, and an account on forge-vtt.com to access the Foundry. An account on Comp//Con will be helpful, but be discussed as part of the session itself.
What Jason Leisemann brings to the table
I will provide play space, music, pre-made pilots and mechs to choose from, and knowledge of the rules and setting. Lancer tends to be written in favor of rule of cool, which rewards those who are willing to come up with creative uses of their resources. I will also be providing another experienced player to help provide player-vacing advice or tips.
