About the adventure
The smell of tangerine and vanilla waft through the air, the festival music winds its way through the streets, and the raucous of hundreds of people competing, eating, and enjoying merriment. They celebrate a new harvest here in Nubrines' beautiful Rosefire(Summer) weather. Areston is a safehaven, it's walled settlements challenge those outside to a better life inside, and the so far unchallenged lands have incredible yields. The unruly pirate lands to the south, the inventive flying city to north, and the long dunes of Chostan are about to tell a story. This campaign will start at level 3, I want to take the players on a journey around this world I've created. With tough fights, lots of role-play, and a potential to beat down the devil. I want the players to feel comfortable in their characters and feel AS their characters. The campaign with have humour, sadness, and some horror elements that will be adapted to the groups comfort level.

Creating your character
Think about a Hero! This person wants to help the world, even if it's for themselves. I don't plan to kill characters unless the story (and dice) will it, so plan for this character to stick around, and grow and change. Starting at level 3 we will use Standard Array (16, 15, 14 , 13, 12, and 11). Figure out our races, and classes ( I'm open to Homebrew within reason), then figuring out how your character matters and works in this world. I prefer to sit one on one with creation but also understand if you'd like to figure it out yourself. We will have a session zero where the players can meet each other and learn about expectations and my rules for the campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I use Discord and Roll20, if you don't have those I will happily help set them up, and get you going. I will also sometimes use Talespire for specific battle maps if it fits the vibes better than top-down.
What Brendyn brings to the table
I run pretty loose, using my combination of prep, and experience of improving for 15 years to create a story, and world, that the players can enjoy and really feel. I try voices, have playlists of ambient music, and have entire sessions of role-play, or tough battles that you will have to think your way through. You want to try something wacky? Then let's figure out how that will work in game. You want a certain backstory element to come out? Absolutely let's work on how that will fit in. Just let me know what you want to do and I will try my best to configure that into a game that works for everyone involved.
Homebrew rules
I'm open to all books , races, and classes within reason. You can't make a god, or a child, and I reserve the right to say No. That being said I do want you to be as creative as you can, and would love to work with you so that No can become an maybe and makes both of us happy.

How Brendyn creates a safe table
I work on a trust policy and respect policy, I want people to have fun and if they have concerns to tell me ASAP. You can always message me about concerns. At the top of the game and once joined, I will establish my No's and ask each person on their No's as well. This ensures that everyone gets to have a good time and wont feel attacked or uncomfortable. After the sessions I always check in to see things that can change or adapted to differntly.
