About the adventure

Philadelphia is a city on the edge of collapse. The Prince still holds court, but his authority is hollow—challenged by ambitious factions, eroded by fear, and quietly ignored by those who sense the shift in power. Behind closed doors, alliances fracture, old grudges resurface, and every Kindred is asking the same question: who will rule when the throne finally breaks? Then the unthinkable happens. A vampire is executed publicly—without sanction, without explanation. Soon after, others begin to disappear. No bodies. No witnesses. Just silence… and the growing certainty that something is deeply wrong. Whether this is the beginning of a political coup, a hidden war, or something far more dangerous, no one can agree—and no one can be trusted. You are part of a coterie tasked with investigating what others refuse to face. You will navigate a city of secrets, negotiate with predators more dangerous than yourself, and uncover truths that threaten both the Masquerade and your own fragile humanity. Every choice matters. Every alliance has a cost. And the deeper you look, the more you risk becoming the very thing you fear. This game is ideal for players who enjoy political intrigue, mystery-driven storytelling, and character-focused horror. Expect a cinematic, roleplay-heavy experience where tension builds slowly, trust is rare, and the line between monster and self grows thinner each night. Whether you are new to Vampire or a seasoned player, this chronicle is designed to pull you into a living, breathing city—and dare you to survive it.

About me

Hi! I’m Luis — a Communication professor, lifelong storyteller, and worldbuilder with more than 20 years of experience running tabletop RPGs. My sessions are cinematic, character-driven, emotionally rich, and visually immersive. I blend: Epic storytelling inspired by fantasy and sci-fi films High-energy anime vibes (One Piece, FFVII Remake, Demon Slayer) Strong narrative structure (setup → tension → payoff) Humor, drama, and worldbuilding with real depth As an educator, I’m patient, organized, and great at guiding new players without overwhelming them. My goal is simple: to make every session feel like the players are inside a movie, and to provide them with an enjoyable, emotional, fun, and challenging experience. 🎬 What I Offer in Every Session ✔ Immersive Cinematic storytelling ✔ Use of Music and Custom visuals for every game ✔ Smooth onboarding for beginners ✔ Flexible tone ✔ Strong pacing ✔ Tailor-made adventures

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a first session of character creation. You are welcome to bring your ideas and preconceived characters. We will use WoD's standard procedure.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a Discord and an Owlbear Rodeo account (they're free).

What Luis brings to the table

My games are cinematic, roleplay-driven, and emotionally grounded, with a strong focus on atmosphere, tension, and character development. I use ambient music, curated soundscapes, and visual references to create an immersive experience where the city feels alive—and watching. I lean heavily into political intrigue, mystery, and personal horror, giving players meaningful choices that shape both the story and their characters’ descent. Expect complex NPCs, layered secrets, and slow-burning tension rather than constant action. When violence happens, it matters. Mechanically, I run a rules-informed but narrative-first game. I respect the system (V20), but prioritize pacing, drama, and player agency over rigid interpretation. Combat is fast, dangerous, and story-driven rather than tactical-heavy—this is a game about consequences, not optimization. Most importantly, this is a collaborative storytelling experience. I work closely with players to integrate their characters into the world, ensuring their backstories, ambitions, and flaws actively shape the chronicle. If you enjoy deep roleplay, moral dilemmas, and stories where your choices truly matter—this game is for you. This game is ideal for players who enjoy deep roleplay, political tension, and slow-burn storytelling. If you like navigating complex social dynamics, uncovering layered mysteries, and exploring the psychological weight of being a vampire, you will feel right at home here. You will thrive in this game if you: Enjoy character-driven narratives over constant combat Are comfortable with moral ambiguity and difficult choices Like collaborating with other players to build relationships, alliances, and conflicts Appreciate atmosphere, immersion, and subtle horror This game may not be the best fit if you are looking for: Frequent, tactical combat or dungeon-crawling Clear-cut “good vs evil” storytelling A fast-paced, action-heavy experience with minimal roleplay New and experienced players are both welcome, as long as you are excited to engage with the story, the world, and the other characters.

Homebrew rules

This chronicle uses a rules-light approach to support pacing, tension, and narrative immersion. The core system (V20) remains intact, with a single adjustment to enhance storytelling: Streamlined Rolls. In low-stakes situations, I may reduce or skip rolls to maintain flow and focus on roleplay and decision-making.

Safety

How Luis creates a safe table

I prioritize emotional safety and clear boundaries in every game. Before the campaign begins, I send a Lines & Veils document where players can privately note themes they want limited or excluded. During Session 0, we discuss expectations, preferred tones, comfort levels, and any topics that should be avoided. I establish table norms for respectful play, spotlight balance, and handling conflict. During sessions, players who feel uncomfortable can say so. This can be typed in chat, sent privately through message, or signaled verbally or on video—whatever is most comfortable for the group. I check in at the start and end of every session to make sure everyone feels engaged and safe. If I notice a player becoming quiet, uneasy, or withdrawn, I reach out privately after the game to check in and adjust the story or tone as needed. My goal is to create an environment where every player feels respected, heard, and able to enjoy the experience fully. Your comfort and well-being are always part of the design of the adventure.
