About the adventure
Who has not heard rumours of the lost city of Arden Vul? The disappearance of Lilian, Canon of the temple of Mitra in Newmarket, has brought a sudden wave of worry to the usually quiet Burdock's Valley. With a sizeable reward for her safe return, you find yourselves making your way towards the ancient city. The many tales of the unplundered troves of this once prosperous centre of knowledge and commerce hang in the back of your mind. Yet alongside the tales of lost treasures are other, more unsettling whispers. How could a lost city remain unplundered for more than a millennium? Surely only the existence of the cruellest of foes and unimaginable evil within the mountain can explain Arden Vul’s unspoiled status.

About me
My name is Marcos André, I am a veteran Game Master from Brazil with over six years of experience. Though I am most experienced with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, I have been prioritizing simpler systems like DnD B/X (and its retro clone Old-School Essentials). When it comes to running my games, I always start with a session 0 to establish what is to be expected from my players and the campaign. My games have the unfortunate tendency to derail almost immediately, almost always due to the dice deciding what would be funnier to no fault of the players.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will be done on session 0, with the setting specifics and house rules being explained alongside it. The Advanced rules for OSE will be used to allow for more character variety. The character sheet used is made through Fantasy Grounds itself, but a Google Docs version is available as a backup. The books used will be provided to the players.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need access to Discord, along with the ability to use voice chat, as that will be the primary method of play. The campaign will be run in a private Discord server. Fantasy Grounds VTT will be used to run the game and requires all participants to download the software, which can be acquired for free in either the official site or Steam.
What Marcos André brings to the table
As stated before, players will be provided with the required books, along with custom homebrew content, including races and classes. Music will be used to aid in setting the tone of scenes through Kenku FM, a discord bot.

How Marcos André creates a safe table
Session 0 will go over the overall tone of the campaign, along with the matter of its duration. Sensitive topics will be discussed prior to them coming up during play, but as we are all human, not every possible piece of information and/or topic can be discussed within a short amount of time, thus a reasonable degree of maturity is expected from the players.
