About the adventure

Your homeland of Isger is ruled by the nation of Cheliax, who profit greatly from Isger’s trade while imposing harsh laws and brutal punishments whenever their demands are not met. Yet when Isger faces hardship, Cheliax is seldom there to help. Cheliax’s laws are based upon the rigid doctrines of Hell, enforced by their infamous Hellknights, who can be found stationed throughout Isger. In response, the Hellbreakers League has formed to resist Chelish oppression and fight for Isger’s independence. Your adventure begins as you seek to prove your worth within the Hellbreakers League, rising through its ranks while undertaking dangerous missions across Isger. _____________________________________________________________ This campaign is Paizo’s latest Pathfinder Adventure Path release, featuring a mix of combat, espionage, infiltration, mystery solving, and political intrigue as players work to undermine Cheliax’s grip on the region.

About me

Hi I'm Morgan, 35 year old Aussie bloke. I'm easy going and aim for my games to be a fun social experience as much as an exciting game. I only found my obsession with TTRPGs in the last couple of years and it's opened my eyes to a wonderful new world. I have experience playing D&D 5e and PF2e and began running my first Pathfinder campaign last year. I really love finding ways to connect my players to the adventure path and enhance the story to give them more buy-in.

Character creation

Creating your character

To fit with the campaign theme, PCs will need to be non-evil citizen of Isger who has recently joined/decided to join the Hellbreakers. Details for fitting characters are in the Hellbreakers players guide: https://downloads.paizo.com/Hellbreakers_PlayersGuide.pdf Before session 0 players can discuss their ideas for characters but it's best to have 2-3 ideas before session 0 to create a well balanced party.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Voice chat and communications will take place on Discord and the game is hosted on a server running Foundry VTT, accounts will be made for all players. The Foundry server will be accessible 24/7 so players can view/change character details between games.

What Morgz brings to the table

I aim to provide a table where players feel like they are a part of the story. I feel like character backstories are important and I enjoy finding ways to link them to the campaign. With plenty of premium Foundry VTT modules, the whole gaming experience comes to life with animated abilities and ambient music. I am always flexible to bending the rules to make a character build work (so long as we're not brewing a demigod to outshine the other PCs) and the Rule of Cool reigns supreme.

Homebrew rules

This game will run with the optional variant rules for: - Free archetype - Gradual ability boost - Ancestry paragon These all allow for more character customisation. Beyond that, most rules are played as written except where it can benefit the enjoyment of the players (not necessarily always making the game easier.)
