About the adventure
"They call us 'scum.' We call ourselves 'free.' And we intend to keep it that way." Forget the fancy "Rogue Traders" with their hereditary obligations and bureaucratic strings. Forget the golden propaganda of the Imperium. You are the true adventurers of the stars, the independent operators traversing the systems on battered voidships held together by chewing gum and faith. You are looked down on by almost everybody - the Adeptus Ministorum sees heresy, the Arbiters see criminals, and the Inquisition sees potential threats. But the everyday people of the frontier understands you. They understand your call for freedom in a galaxy choking on obedience. Setting & Tone: Swashbuckling in the Grim Dark This is Wrath and Glory with a distinct swashbuckling heart. We start at Tier 1 - crew members, street urchins, and tech-wretches beginning their ascent. This is a lighter-hearted take on the setting (think Barbossa meets Treasure Planet inside the 40k aesthetic), focusing on the thrill of exploration and the joy of defying dogma. You have a port, a remote, safe haven organized on a distant planet, which you must develop and defend over time. While the Imperium is gritty, your life is an adventure. We’ll lean into the Rule of Cool to make every escape and treasure hunt dynamic. The Campaign Arc: Make the Real Money Just because you aren't officially working for the Imperium doesn’t prevent you from exploiting its necessities. You’ll traverse forgotten systems, trading goods vital for the war efforts, catching rides on scraps, and exploring worlds too dangerous for official survey. But what is your goal? Will you keep pirating like the others? Or perhaps you dream of acquiring enough resources to buy one of those fancy aristocratic titles? Or maybe you want a mining station deed in the outer orbits to make the real money? The choice is entirely yours. How We Play (Theatre of the Mind) We will play using d6 mechanics but with a heavy focus on fluid narrative. This is Theatre of the Mind, designed for cinematic description over rigid tactical grids. Your creativity and dynamic actions will define the battlefield. As Tier 1 scum, every success is hard-won, and every choice matters. Sessions are about character progression, port management, exploration, and dynamic interactions with the weirdest inhabitants of the frontier. Expect high-octane escapes, negotiation with dynamic personalities, and a deep sense of camaraderie (or betrayal!). Who Is This For? Perfect game for Beginners and the New Players: This is a great introduction to d6 rules, allowing you to learn mechanics without the pressure of complex character requirements. Roleplayers: Step into characters defined by their resilience, wit, and desire for independence. Freedom Seekers: If you’re tired of following rigid military structures and want to chart your own path in the stars, you are welcome aboard.

About me
This section asks to list my experience GMing and my experience with tabletop games. This almost baits me to brag, so the following answer is in matter of fact fashion, to the point. - "Tabletop games" is a broad category, so I will skip Monopoly, Scramble, Mafia, Splendor, Fallout, Cards against Humanity, Uno, Carcassonne etc. Only to say, yes, I thoroughly enjoyed those games. - Started off at school as Warhammer fan, but I found I liked painting minifigs with friends way more than core rule-book games. I liked communal aspect, and connection, so I gathered them, made it a point to schedule during year 9 and 10. - Hosted D&D club back in middle school and high school (GCSE and A-levels for my fellow Brits), we ran classic dungeon crawls in 3e, had a blast painting minifigs, organising and hosting all whilst introducing new players into the hobby. - Throughout university years and up until now, hosted TTRPGs both in private and public groups (Uni clubs and local Game stores wherever I happened to live at the time), ever since covid run campaigns online via Discord. - D&D 5e, WoD (including Mage the Ascention, Werewold the Apocalypse 3e, and Vampire the Masquerade), from Talsorian: Witcher and fully chromebooked cyberpunk 2020. Overall, I am a classic forever GM, who even got to play here and than, as most of my players ended up graduating into GMs, each for their individual reasons. I love people, and I love gifting them with fleeting connection of private good times.
