About the adventure

During an Ember Week observation, the Benandanti stumble upon a grave robbery. As they investigate, the cell discovers a connection to an ancient vampire enemy of their lineage. After a confrontation with the quarry leaves most of the cell incapacitated or dead, however, it falls to their apprentices to finish the job. This Hunter: the Reckoning chronicle begins with the players assuming the role of experienced Hunters of the Benandanti lineage. This game deals with issues of supernatural horror, abduction, violence, and mental health.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will begin play with Hunter characters created in session zero. Each player will also create an apprentice character.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a mic, headphones, and a discord account. Invites to the server will be provided upon sign up.

What Travis Legge brings to the table

I have the core rulebook as well as Legacy of Defiance, which this game will draw heavily from. I'll provide character sheets for session zero. We'll be meeting in discord (voice only) and using a dicebot in discord for rolls. We'll be starting off the players as normal folks whose reality is suddenly, abruptly, and violently shaken with a supernatural revalation.

Homebrew rules

We'll be sticking as close to the published rules as possible, with the caveat that I will change rules if I feel they're unfun, interfering with the story, or otherwise a problem in play. Any house rules will be discussed as a table.

Safety

How Travis Legge creates a safe table

There will be adult themes and content, though I use the X-Card as well as a "Yes go" and "no go" system to cater the content to player comfort. I run a quick debrief at the end of each session, and players are welcome to take breaks as needed.
