About the adventure

Welcome, and thank you for your interest! I have had a tonne of fun in this industry, and I want to share some of my nearly 40 years of gaming experience through story - every element you need to know will be presented in a series of short stories. Each of these sessions will have three Scenarios to present. In this installment, we'll be sharing in the following stories, at the end of which, we will discuss three topics: 1) Selecting the right game for your group 2) What the Players need to know 3) What the Game Master needs to know After each tale is told, we will break it down. Each of you can ask questions and through this, you'll begin to see not only the tools you need for any TTRPG, but you'll have experienced your first taste of what TTRPGs can really provide. I am looking forward to meeting you all!

About me

"You come into a narrow alleyway, having chased your prey throughout downtown..." "Do I see them?" "Create a perception-based Roll Profile" "I only got one success..." "That give you narrative control with the 'No, But' Frame." "So... I don't see them, but I notice their tracks on the muddy pavement!" "Up ahead, you hear a sudden commotion and the cry of 'Stop! Police'!" "I use all my Actions to Sprint up and see what the commotion is. Maybe a cop has seen the guy I am after." I vastly prefer narrative games, putting the story in the hands of my players.

What Eiric E. Padráig brings to the table

For this, I will be pulling not only from nearly 40 years of gaming experience, almost 20 years of professional game design efforts, but a host of years of teaching creative writing and drama classes.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew is for house games. This is more of a classroom approach, but much more forgiving and there is no test at the end nor need of a passing grade!

Safety

How Eiric E. Padráig creates a safe table

The only thing we'll be keeping a watch on will be our language. This event should be without any other triggers. But feel free to come and go as needs be. Also, we'll take a break halfway through, if needed.
