Hello! My name's gibzx! I'm a digital artist and Dungeon Master! I've been playing D&D for 7 years now and it's been an evolving passion ever since. I'm always looking to add new friends and faces to my table and adventure together. Originally born and raised in Mexico, I spent my childhood engrossing myself in fantasy and fiction media, which became my primary hobby and passion as I grew older. Shortly after finishing primary school, I moved to Singapore to continue my education and broaden my horizons. Living in two very distinct and quite literally opposite sides of the world has helped me absorb many interesting sources of folklore and history that I otherwise would've never encountered, as well as meeting new people that altogether have shaped my creative process when writing and creating adventures. Right now I can be found juggling many projects between running 5 different tables as a DM, as well as partaking in some games as a player & writing custom/original content that I hope to publish one day soon! Creating your character
Once you join the SPG campaign and reach out to me via Discord (@gibzx) you will receive access to my private server where the player handouts, campaign info, and player chat is hosted for communication. This will include a dedicated channel for character creation where you and other players may discuss your thoughts and ideas prior to the start of the campaign. Creating your character before session zero or just developing an idea but waiting for the day itself to build PCs together are both perfectly fine. All character sheets are to be hosted in my Foundry VTT game, but using D&D Beyond for the first time is also an option as I can import your character when you provide me with the link. For the basic info however, the details are as follows: - Starting at level 1 - 27 Point Buy for stats - All officially published content from D&D 5e and 5.5 is allowed (but no mixing the two for balance reasons, all your character's options such as race, background, class & subclass must be from the same edition) - Homebrew and UA Content up to DM approval

What Gibrand brings to the table
I will be hosting the FoundryVTT game through my personal Forge server, with all required sheets, tokens, SFX, handouts, etc. Communication will be done through my private Discord server, where I will host the session voice chat, campaign text chat, and a music bot during sessions for ambience.
Homebrew rules
- Flanking provides a +2 bonus to melee attacks - Potions can be drank as a bonus actions. For healing potions, using your full action instead grants you max healing rather than rolling - I use brutal criticals, where the base damage is maximized before adding the extra dice from a crit, ensuring every crit is stronger than a non-crit - Death saving throws are done in private with only the dying PC and the DM being aware of the result - We will be using the 2014 grappling rules where rolls contest against each other rather than plain DCs - Counterspell will be using the 2014 version

How Gibrand creates a safe table
I want all my players to have a good time and be comfortable above all. Session 0 will serve to discuss the lines and veils of what additional boundaries players wish to set, but keep in mind that this also applies beyond session 0! I am always open to additional discussion during the campaign, and adjusting accordingly. This is a welcoming table, and I am always willing to work together to be as inclusive as possible. :)
