About the adventure

War never changes—but the Wasteland is always full of surprises. In this campaign for the Fallout Roleplaying Game, a series of strange events begins to ripple across the wastes: rogue robots, mysterious signals, missing caravans, and dangerous pre-War technology resurfacing in the worst possible hands. What starts as small, isolated jobs quickly reveals a bigger story tying together five bizarre and dangerous adventures. If the wasteland is going to survive what’s coming, someone’s going to have to dig up the truth… and survive long enough to tell it. This campaign connects the wild pulp adventures from Awesomely Astonishing Tales issues 1–5 into a single unfolding story. Expect classic Fallout weirdness: retro-futuristic tech gone haywire, factions with questionable motives, dark humor, and the constant struggle to survive in a brutal but often absurd world. The tone balances danger, mystery, and the kind of strange situations that only make sense in a radioactive post-apocalypse. My games focus on collaborative storytelling, meaningful choices, and letting players approach problems however they like—through clever plans, wild improvisation, diplomacy, or good old-fashioned wasteland firepower. Combat is cinematic and tense, exploration is rewarded, and player decisions will shape how these connected adventures unfold. This game is perfect for players who enjoy Fallout’s mix of dark comedy, weird science, and wasteland survival. New players are absolutely welcome—I’m happy to teach the system as we go—while experienced players will find plenty of strange mysteries and tough decisions waiting out in the dust. Grab your gear, check your ammo, and remember: out here in the Wasteland, the weirdest story is usually the true one. ☢️🎲

Creating your character

Character creation will be handled during Session 0, however, knowledge of the types of character that fits within the FAllout franchise would be advantageous.

What DM PeteWookiee brings to the table

I have been an actor on stage since I was 5, have multiple performances over my life including but not limited to Shakespeare (Midsummer Night's Dream as Oberon), Rocky Horror Show (Frank N Furter) and Little Shop of Horrors (voice of Audrey II) and even performed for a week at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Most recently, I have appeared as Security Officer Shaun Kane in the sci fi movie "Offworld: Alien Planet", which is currently available for free on Amazon and other free movie streaming sites. In addition to this, I have been in 2 rock bands, and appeared on the UK Indie circuit as a Professional Wrestler! Since before I was 10 I have been an avid player of the Fighting Fantasy choose-your-own-adventure gamebooks before getting my introduction to Games Workshop and Warhammer very early on in the 1990s. Despite all of this, I only actually started playing D&D just as everywhere was going into Lockdown due to a mixture of encouragement from my then-partner, and Stranger Things, discovering Critical Role shortly after. I now DM for D&D in several sessions a week in an ongoing campaigns, and also GM both Candela Obscura and Daggerheart. I also GM the Modiphius Fallout 2d20 RPG and Free League's Alien RPG. The game I run focuses more on the roleplay and imaginative side of the game rather than the mechanical, rules driven side. Rule of Cool trumps all, and I reward creative thinking and interaction in character. My personal preference is to shy away from meta game descriptions, for example, if someone asks you how hurt you are, you could describe your physical shape, rather than simply stating how many Hit Points you have. If this sounds like the kind of game you're looking for, then you may be the player for us!!! I'd rather hear a cool concept for a character than have a min/maxxed superhero. There are some restrictions as to content we're using, and I'll let you know if/when you're chosen and creating your character. So, in summary, if this sounds like a game you'd like to be a part of, tell me a bit about your experience, your favourite character you've played, and an epic moment from a game you've played in, or a favourite film. tv show, or book. I look forward to hearing from you soon!!
