About the adventure
"For the majority of people, mists are just that - a natural phenomenon. For those few cursed to learn the difference to the Mists, it's always too late to escape." Welcome to Barovia, a hidden and damned land, devoid of light and hope save for the few rays that are those brought to this place. You represent that light and hope, as suppressed and frightened you might feel. CoS is a game that takes you from level 2-10 as you fight to find allies in these dark lands.

About me
Hi there! I'm Heimdall143, and I've been playing and DMing D&D 5e for 11.5 years now! Not long after 5.5e came out I made the switch over and I've been really enjoying it. In my free time (not doing D&D things) I like to cross stitch, play video games with friends, and go hiking. I've dabbled in playing a couple of other systems, but always come back to D&D. It's absolutely my primary passion for hobbies.

Creating your character
Characters will be created before session 0/1. Stats are done with a modified point buy system, and starting level is 2. Characters will be created in D&D Beyond, which is going to be used to track character creation and level, with all other functionality happening inside of Foundry. I will take care of transferring sheets. Anything official for 2024 5e is legal, 2014 5e and homebrew upon discussion and review. Gunslinger 2024 is allowed.
Current party composition is a cleric, 2 barbarians, a paladin, and a warlock.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You should have a Discord account, the Foundry user account is unique to the server and does not require you to make an account with Foundry itself. Foundry is web based, and does not require anything to download. There will be a Discord server created for the game, which will have the relevant links and information inside of it in greater detail than this post.
What Jeidi brings to the table
I like to do character voices to help provide some differentiation. I also use music and ambient audio to help provide better immersion. I try to use Rule of Cool where possible, though I do try to make sure it aligns with RAW when I can. I also provide visuals and graphics.
