About the adventure

~ Greetings, Adventurer ~ Looking to start your D&D journey? Look no further! With the guidance of a Dungeon Master with almost 10 years of experience, dive into the most popular D&D module & starter adventure of all time! After a simple job takes a shocking turn, you find yourself tangled up in a plot of goblin bandits roaming roads, brigand ruffians terrorizing towns, and a dastardly mastermind pulling the strings. Delve through dungeons, track down leads and pull apart an intricate cobweb to find out the truth of the Lost Mine of Phandelver! I love D&D, and I am eager to bring it to as many people as I can, so join the ever-growing list of adventurers in the world's greatest roleplaying game! I celebrate player creativity and freedom of expression, and strive to get players immersed within their characters and their experience. Expect top tier guidance with making fleshed out characters that participate in a highly reactive, living world where the entirely non-linear story flows from you, not through you. Actions can have far reaching consequences, and you are free to choose your path ahead.

About me

Upon my discovery of the monster manual in a game shop as a young teen, my fate as a TTRPG fanatic was sealed. Ever since, I've DM'd for friends and strangers both IRL and online. It's a neverending journey, exploring the best of human creativity and improving at the craft every time I run/play.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will start off at level 1 as new adventurers who have started their work in the city of Neverwinter. We will work together to build your character and prepare for the adventure as a group before session 1!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a discord account and a Roll20 account. That's it! And if you need any help setting up either, I am happy to assist.

What Pyro brings to the table

With almost ten years of experience with modern D&D, I hope to empower you to take the reigns of the story, get involved with role-play, and engage with your character on a level deeper than any book, video game or movie could ever provide. Additionally, with Roll20 I will provide a place to feel the action, with dynamic lighting, music and visuals that come together for the ultimate D&D experience.

Homebrew rules

As this is aimed at newer players, homebrew will be kept to a minimum, however rewards and treasure may contain extra goodies that pair well with your character and their story.

Safety

How Pyro creates a safe table

During Session 0, we will discuss character creation, go over our boundaries as a group, and lay out table exceptions. After each session, I like to hold post-game discussion where players will get the chance to look back on the session and discuss what they liked, disliked, what issues they would like to bring up and resolve, and give an idea of what they hope to see next.
