About the adventure
Legend in the Mist is a narrative-first, rustic fantasy game set in the wild countryside of a world where mystery, magic, and peril live just past the edges of the familiar. Think Fellowship of the Ring, Secret of Kells, Legend, Labyrinth, and Princess Mononoke. At this table, your characters don't follow the story, they ARE the story. Decipher the gossip of birds while foraging as a forest witch, whistle a jaunty tune along the dusty roads between taverns as a travelling minstrel, or perfect your potions and cantrips between scribing lessons as a fresh-faced apprentice. The world beyond your door is wide, and change rides the wind over distant hills, so gather your companions, set your feet on the path, and discover who you'll become beyond the next rise. Linger over a warm stew at a crossroads inn, and catch the rumors of foxfire in the barrow fields passing over tankards. Follow a winding path through meadows heavy with the smell of rain and woodsmoke, past the standing stones where the villagers leave fairy offerings. Listen to the whispers in the mist at the edge of the wood. The world is ancient and alive, and something in it has just noticed you.

About me
Hi, I'm Rei! I've been running roleplaying games for about 15 years now. I got my start with Dungeons & Dragons and from there have gotten into all types of tabletop rpgs, with my current favorites being narrative forward, RP-heavy games, and fast and creative rules-medium to rules-lighter games. I enjoy teaching and helping new players and telling immersive stories that give players room to be creative and shape the game world. Creating your character
We'll build your characters, your fellowship party, and decide on the scope and tone of your adventure together during Session 0. No prep or pre-written backstories are needed. We'll discover the characters and their connections together through conversation at the table. We'll use rules as written from the Legend in the Mist book. You can choose from the many tropes and themekits as inspiration or build an entirely custom character.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need access to Discord and a web browser for this game. If you have a copy of Legend in the Mist, it's helpful, but not required. I'll provide access to basic rules and reference sheets.
What Rei brings to the table
I run an inclusive table where LGBTQ+, neuro-divergent folk, and POC are welcome and encouraged to join. This is also a beginner-friendly game - if you've never played Legend in the Mist, a narrative game, or any RPG at all - welcome! I'm here to help you learn! How Rei creates a safe table
