About the adventure
Step into a world inspired by more old-school dark fantasy such as old D&D, Conan the Barbarian, and other stories full of morally gray heroes delving into dungeons full of horror in the hopes of returning with gold and glory. The story is less about the party being on a set plot to save a princess or the world and more about the dungeons themselves. And the story of what the players do once they gain wealth, magical items, and power in any other form. Between adventures, you choosing if you want to spend your time and gold to pursue your own goals is what will shape the overarching story of the world and change the setting forevermore. The Guild, to which all players are members, will take any folks of any alignment as long as you're not too disruptive; you can be an evil necromancer cultist or a holy paladin of light. I've been GMing for more than 10 years, and I spend a lot of my free time working on these games. While the game itself may be paid, I'm open to talking to players and doing downtime stuff between sessions for free, working on backstories with players, and so much more.

About me
I have been GMing for over 15 years, sometimes with custom-made names, often with one of the game systems listed on my profile. I love a game where the natural consequences of a player's actions bounce off the natural actions and reactions of the NPCs and mix with some random chance of the dice to twist and turn the story in ways neither the players nor the GM could have seen coming! I love creating worlds for the players that feel living and changing, that have NPCs that act realistically and with agency so it never feels like the player is in a cardboard castle talking to King Quest Giver I love having and trusting a caring gaming group that have respect for each other's needs and boundaries. I will not tolerate intolerance of any race, creed, gender, sexuality, disability, faith (or lack thereof), nationality, or anything else like that!

Creating your character
During Session 0, we will all decide what level would be best for everyone. Then we will decide together if the PC backstories should be tied together and, if so, how much. Then I shall help each player build their character both from a game rules standpoint and a lore/story one as well. I will be showing them how if they need that kind of help and giving advice, but they will have the final say on what is right for their character. AT LAST, once all of that is done We shall be ready for session 1
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need these things. 1: Discord and a Working Mic 2: Roll20 (it's the website I use to run the game on) Understand at least the basic idea of it. 3. Imagination!
What DireDM brings to the table
I provide music, battle maps, and custom magic items. I'm very open to customizing the game for my players if there is a rule in the game all the players don't like. I'm more than happy to talk about changing it. Outside of session time.
Homebrew rules
I have a number of small rules, but they are optional, and we will decide together what rules are best.

How DireDM creates a safe table
Before a player even chooses to join a game, I will ask them to talk to me on Discord about their needs, wants, and such. Then, once they have joined, we will have a session where players are asked to either openly share if there is any kind of content they don't want to see in the game, or if they don't wish to share, they can PM me about an issue, and I will make a rule about it at the table without saying who, if anyone asks. AND if something happens during a game that is an issue for someone, they are free to either pause the game to talk about it, PM me about it, or choose to talk to me later. Or if they just need to leave at once without saying a word, I will not hold it against them.
