Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation like the rest of the campaign start will be done during Session Zero Players need nothing prepared for character creation but if they have a rough concept for their character their plans can be expanded or optimized in Session Zero. The campaign will start at level 3-5 and progress to level 15-20 depending on the players wants and pacing preference.

Preparing for the session

Players should attempt to get accounts for Roll20 DND Beyond and Discord as well as add the Beyond20 Browser extension. If they have trouble all of these things can be done in Session Zero.

What Joshua Wilkinson brings to the table

As the GM I intend to bring a story that is still capable of being shaped by the players with their actions having world altering changes. The players are encouraged and rewarded for thinking outside the box and finding unusual solutions

Homebrew rules

I prefer to have a good bit of homebrew rules that affect many aspects of the game to include combat and roleplay but don't like forcing them on my players so I allow them to vote during Session Zero though no rule change is permanent if they are disliked in play or need tweaked it can happen.

How Joshua Wilkinson creates a safe table

Lines and Veils will Be discussed privately an a list of off-limits topics made public for the players. Due to the length of games players will be able to set times for breaks or call for them during the session. Session Zero will allow for the discussion of things like interpretation of rules, homebrew rules, character creation and story direction. It will also discuss other boundaries for players like PVP.
