About the adventure

A Warrant of Trade is written in blood, and now, it passes to you. You are the Succession's Chosen - not by bloodline, but by merit. The imperious Rogue Trader Lord Captain Johan von Felix has hand-picked you, a group of singular talents, recognizing the unique spark within each of you necessary to carry his ancient mandate into the future. Whether you are a hardened Tier 2/3 Privateer Pirate Scum, a thin-robed Sanctioned Psyker, a stealthy Death Cult Assassin, a grizzled Desperado, or a dogmatic Tech-Priest, your previous life is behind you as you now serve as his inner circle. You are situated on a single massive Rogue Trader vessel, the Saint’s Endeavor, encountering the grim challenges of the galaxy as a team. The Setting & Theme This campaign is a deep dive into the gritty, high-stakes political thriller that is Warhammer 40,000’s Rogue Trader setting. We will explore the themes of transhuman capability, difficult moral compromise, and tactical desperation. Expect a focus on: Void Exploration: Navigating derelict hulks and unstable warp storms. Character-Driven Narrative: How your unique "talents" clash and cooperate in political intrigue of great houses. Intense Action: Every combat is a surgical strike designed for maximum impact. How We Play I specialize in immersive, cinematic Theatre of the Mind (TotM) gameplay. There will be no grid, and we will rarely use battlemaps. Instead, I rely on evocative descriptions and clear "abstract positioning" to paint the scene directly into your imagination. This method focuses on the narrative flow, allowing for rapid decision-making and creative, narrative-driven action that grid-based play often constrains. This game is for players who enjoy high-octane 40k adventure but want more narrative agency and creative freedom than traditional dungeon crawls. Post Scriptum Meta: The game draws heavily from "Rogue Trader" core book. Discord hosted video-camera-driven theatre of the mind. This is a standalone story arc with laid groundwork for a larger campaign upon demand.

About me

This section asks to list my experience GMing and my experience with tabletop games. This almost baits me to brag, so the following answer is in matter of fact fashion, to the point. - "Tabletop games" is a broad category, so I will skip Monopoly, Scramble, Mafia, Splendor, Fallout, Cards against Humanity, Uno, Carcassonne etc. Only to say, yes, I thoroughly enjoyed those games. - Started off at school as Warhammer fan, but I found I liked painting minifigs with friends way more than core rule-book games. I liked communal aspect, and connection, so I gathered them, made it a point to schedule during year 9 and 10. - Hosted D&D club back in middle school and high school (GCSE and A-levels for my fellow Brits), we ran classic dungeon crawls in 3e, had a blast painting minifigs, organising and hosting all whilst introducing new players into the hobby. - Throughout university years and up until now, hosted TTRPGs both in private and public groups (Uni clubs and local Game stores wherever I happened to live at the time), ever since covid run campaigns online via Discord. - D&D 5e, WoD (including Mage the Ascention, Werewold the Apocalypse 3e, and Vampire the Masquerade), from Talsorian: Witcher and fully chromebooked cyberpunk 2020. Overall, I am a classic forever GM, who even got to play here and than, as most of my players ended up graduating into GMs, each for their individual reasons. I love people, and I love gifting them with fleeting connection of private good times.
